 Im downloading a song called dead flowers and i have previewed it and it sounds live. What is the story on this song, i really dont read anyone talking about it.

Its a song on Gilby's album Pawnshop Guitars, GN'R used to play it live towards the end of the Illusion tour there is more to the story but thats all I will say.

It's a song originally written by The Rolling Stones and was performed by Gn'r during their Skin N' Bones 1993 Tour.  It's a great song.  Also, Gilby Clarke released a studio version on his 1994 album, "Pawnshop Guitars," with Axl a guest on vocals.

"Dead Flowers" was originally recorded by the rolling stones on December 15, 1969. It was released April 23, 1971 on the album Sticky Fingers.

The song was played, acoustically, by Guns n Roses on numerous ocasions during the "skin n bones" leg of the Use your Ilussion World tour
