Length of the songs ON contraband ...too short ?

Song length in Contraband is probably the only issue I don't have a problem with. An average of 4 minutes is what I expected from these guys and it's what we've got. Had the rockers been longer, the album it'd have been as boring as It's Five o Clock..., fortunately Weiland is a better singer/writer than Dover or the singer from Ain't life grand ( can't remember his name)

Hey, I think the 2nd Snakepit singer was pretty awsome!!
Anyway I think the songs could have been longer, but my problem is with the solos some of them are too short for my taste.

I think the singer from ai't life grand is killer, his name is rod jackson..He had alot of energy

The lengths of the songs are perfect. There's no reason why u should put in extra solo's, breakdowns or anything like that if u've already gotten the point of the song and it's emotion out of already.

LTA and YGNR are more than 5 mintues long and they both have the most feeling out of all the songs on the album. You don't need an 8 minute rocker to be good.

Look at the rockers on AFD and the Illusions they were mostly 3-5 minutes. The only one that were longer were the epics NR, Estranged, Breakdown etc etc etc.

I think because obviously we are all GN'R fans that we are expecting 8 minute epics like from the Illusions with VR.

I agree matt.. Short n sweet..
