If Dizzy's on the road, he's done all he can do...

If Tommy's on the road, he's done all he can do...

I got the impression Buckehead left during the messed up tour, so maybe he had done all he could do too, after all, as with Dizzy and Tommy, Buckethead was busy working on his own stuff (obvioulsly he likes to keep busy).

...and now we hear Axl has been doing stuff for the soon to be released PS2 game GTA: San Andreas. So maybe Axl's done on CD too. Maybe CD has been finnished for a while.

Maybe it's all simply a case of right timing to release the thing (CD). The Greatest Hits and then that Hollywood Rose release probably got in the way, then Velvet Revolver appeared on the scene (hogging all the lime light and getting good reviews Wink. I like to think the printers are churning out CD cd's as i type, for when the right time to release CD is upon us? ok

I don't think it needs that much time to record a voice in that game. Axl is working hard in CD (at least, I hope so), but it doesn't mean that he's buried in his studio 24/day.

yeah i don't think it takes more than a couple hours to lay down voice for a video game, especially if it's just a radio station thingie

I don't know about teh right timing to release it because you can't keep holding something back do to good artists releasing other stuff when you want to.. I would have though before christmas would have been an excellent time, it would be a good gift idea as well and people are spending anways.. CAN'T ALWAYS BE AN EXCUSE TO WHY IT DOESN'T COME OUT..

I think if it was a case of just picking the right time then they would have a single picked with a video recorded.. I can't imagine what the hold up could be, U-2, eminem's albums??

Who knows , it's such bullshit that never ends..

Beastie boys were missing for about 6 years and their new album and singles are doing good, you can't wait for ever or it'll never come out, they'll always be an excuse to push it back..

The hold up is not something for you to "imagine what it is"

It's there, it exists, there is something. No matter what it was you'd still complain about it.

Sure i agree it does not take much time, but it's still time out, or maybe not time out, if CD is complete  Wink

I think there's a little more behind it. It's one thing using an old classic like Welcome to the Jungle for a trailor, but to then contribute new material, whoa!. There's a whole lets get GN'R back in the public eye thing going on, and to be attached to possibly what could be the most successful selling video game of all time is really something  ok

...and why not?

It's there, sure it exists, sure there is something. And no, i'm not complaining? Wink

My comments were meant for Mike

and the hold up, while you may think it's your business, might not be.

What if Axl has fucking cancer or something? who the fuck knows what's going on. so many people out there think Axl lives for them and OWES them something, and I just don't fucking buy that.

I've supported Axl through everything, and I don't feel like he owes me anything because of it. Not even a damn explanation as to why it took so long. I believe the album will come out, and If you believe the album will come out, than wait for it.

but yeah shaun, i wasn't referring to you at all. I liked your post, it makes a lot of sense. It would have been strange if he released CD the same time as VR released Contraband.

Reynics that's your opinon, some people are satisfied with nothing.. I to think axl gave me everything I payed for, and that's not the point...He brought the CD into light himself and started a tour called the CD tour which I saw at msg.. He said we will see cd, he has talked about the album, no one twisted his arm for this info/..

You say I won't be satisifed, that's bullshit, just because I get tired of excuses being made for this album by others doesn't mean I won't be satisfied.. Give me a piece of positive concrete info and I'd be very happy.. If the album date was announced I'd be very happy unless it was like 9 months away..

People make it sound like we get tons of albums and someone is just complaining.... Last piece of new material was in 91 (unless you count boots n oh my god)

Lets not get out of control with the cancer, everytime I see axl he has a cigar these days.. Cheesy

If I remember correctly, Dizzy talked about the mixing, and Tommy talked about the mastering of it all.
The again, I could be wrong, and you could be... mine.
Sorry, too much time in my hands today... Tongue

2005 is looking more and more likely.  Get the guys together, get Buckethead back and release the album.  Everyone on this board would be in paradise.

I agree it's highly unlikely that 2004 is a no go, as for buckethead judging by what axl said in his rio 4 thing it seems he feels the badn can do better without him, and tommy doesn't seem crazy about him either.. I don't think he's coming back, it was 6 months ago, something would have happened sooner if he was coming back,, Time to cut loses and move on,...

 RELEASE

wishful thinking, tommy says a new site is up around new years Smiley

When the ball starts rolling sometime after new years, everything will happen. Videos, interviews, a new and updated website. They will be making videos for sure and be on tour.
