OK so originally I liked FTP but it was easily one of my least favorite tracks off of contraband. I finally caught the video yesterday tho and it def made me like the song more. You really get the message scott was trying to convey more with the visual. I think this happens alot sometimes with certain songs. I mean look at November rain. Anyone else start to dig FTP more after the vid?

Absolutely! I always thought it was a pretty mediocre song but with the video, it took on new meaning.  ok

FTP was one of my fav's song before it was a single but the video is really nice and Scott does get the message across in the video that he was trying to get across in the song.

It always seemed to me that Slash, Duff, etc didn't like it when Axl  made videos using Steph(while they were together) and his real life situations(his house in estranged etc), and saying the whole "we're not actors" bit.  But look at them now.  Duff acting, Scott flailing, its more of the same.  Are they going to be calling this video lame ten years from now?

It always seemed to me that Slash, Duff, etc didn't like it when Axl? made videos using Steph(while they were together) and his real life situations(his house in estranged etc), and saying the whole "we're not actors" bit.? But look at them now.? Duff acting, Scott flailing, its more of the same.? Are they going to be calling this video lame ten years from now?

And what exactly does that have to do with the topic of this thread?

Anyway, getting back on track, YES seeing the FTP video made me like the song more than I already did.

absolutely!

the song was ok but that video is very touching and great!

watching scott act is still great to watch.

if they had hired actors instead of doing it themselves however it wouldnt have been as powerful and good.

i wish more bands acted in their own videos, it makes it way more meaningful.

It's more entertaing with the video but it didn't make me like the song any better.  I have to be in the mood, not too excited about ballads like that.  I like YGNR and LTA alot better, they aren't as poppy.

Besides the songs I knew already before the album was out fall to pieces caught my attention when I heard it from the Minn show.. Reminded me of a illusion's type song, sounded somewhat like yesterday's scale.. The video definetly took the song to a new level for me and made me enjoy it more..

The video really made me get into the song more, i like the song but it is one of my least favorites off of Contraband. The scenes with Duff and Scott are really good. One of the better videos put out in a long time. ok

Yeah, absolutely.  That did, as well as the fact that I hear it on the radio all the time now.  It seems like when I hear a song on the radio, it automatically makes me like it more for some reason.  But the video is outstanding and added new meaning to the song.  Before that, it was not one of my favorite tracks.
