I agree.  Regarding the particular statement he was ALSO quoted in Bass Guitar World Magazine as saying "we wrote the music without Axl"....
If he wants to CORRECT this particular UNTRUTH he has been quoted as making on more than this one occasion he should make it clear.
But, yeah... whatever... cuz he and Slash are claiming sole rights to the GN'R catalogue in the infamous lawsuit

Some of you confuse me... you have had your knives out attacking him.  When he was reported as saying Axl didn't write the music.  Which actually didn't sound right to any of us - let's be honest

Then he actually takes time out and actually explains the situation and your still fucking attacking him.  What gives you that right?  He is a musician- nothing more,  nothing less.   Infact the question should be why?  I hope your not two faced enough to go and see him live and enjoy his music, shake his hand when u meet him, then come on here and slate him. We all know the press can fabricate what the fuck they like - if it causes a stir, then they will print it.  They may have to apologise for it later, but by then it's too late. People believe what they read and shit sticks. If you have been GN'R fans for a long time like some of us  and have read the mags ect over the years. You will know some of the complete bull shit has been printed about them.

I would never slag them off, when i really do not know them and after all. I am a fan of their music they are not fucking wrestlers.  It's cool that he said hello and it shows what is said on these boards does get heard by them, so if you are happy for them to read your negativity then fine.  But some of us really respect these guys

"I was misquoted". What a pathetic excuse (even if true). Duff should sack up and set the record straight and say what exactly about the quotes attributed to him were wrong. HINT: he would have to say Axl did write music for the old GN'R.

Secondly, I am so f'n tired of these dorky references to the "high octane rock n' roll", etc. that VR is playing. Contraband is a solid album and VR is a nice breath of fresh air on the music scene, but spare us these cheesey, meaningless catch phrases. Seems like every VR member signs off with that crap. Keep provin' it on stage... not in your press releases. Can you imagine GN'R (or STP for that matter) signing off a press release from their primes with some stupid sh!t like that?!?
