I don't know if this actually a typical arena tour. I know the show in Toronto is only for about half of the Air Canada Centre. Anyone know if this is the case for all of the larger venues?

they should be able to get 9-10,000 people a night. I don't expect them to sell out 16,000 seat arenas right away. Maybe towards the end of this Contraband run and after they release the next record.

Why aren't they out plugging away for these bigger shows? They've been very quiet as far a PR goes since they went to europe..
If I didn't belong to vr/gnr sites I wouldn't know about these shows..

There's still tixs available for the 11\10 show at the Wachovia Spectrum (Philly)...they went on sale this past Saturday, I don't know how much that place holds, but it looks like only the "long distance" seats are available...

Advertising for shows is mostly left up to local promotors and radio stations sponsoring the gigs, not management.
I'm seeing VR in Tulsa the 19th and Oklahoma City the 20th, both shows have been advertised heavily on both radio and TV in both cities.? Slash is scheduled to be interviewed on Tulsa's Z104.5 the morning of the 19th, good promotion on all accounts I'd say.

Either way I just wish they would do a rock show or headbanger's ball or something just to keep it fresh..

It's all related. Promtors contact management and viceversa. Management schedules the band members to be interviewed on radio stations, tv or any media.
The reason I refuted your argument was because something in the past month nothing hasn't gone as planned in the VR camp. It all began a month ago when VR fired their management team and Slash decided he wanted to be represented by a management team other than the rest of the band ( that's weird), then a few gigs get cancelled ( we are not talking about one or two here) and now the lack of promotion this second leg.
To me this second leg of the tour has not echoed as much as the first one. As Mike pointed out, I wouldn't have heard of this second leg hadn't had been for this site. In your favor though, since I don't live in the States I really don't know how the tour is been promoted locally, but it? does really surprise me people in your country wouldn't have known about this tour if this site didn't exist.
