I personally would like to see them have an attempt at the Beatles tune 'while my guitar gently weeps' I feel they could make it a true epic.
Most people know the tune as the song Clapton played a solo on, which is on par with of Slash's stuff, so why not have a go.

I know the question is merely hypothetical, but after all this time and all the "supposed" material they have, there shouldn't be any covers.
We already have enough covers bt GnR to last a lifetime.
The only reason I could see it would be if the song really, really fit the new bands sound
and was to be featured on a soundtrack or something.

I'd love to see their take on 'Jungleland' by Bruce Springsteen... It'd have to be pretty epic.

Id love to hear them cover this song as well. It would be amazing to see live or hear on a new album. Other then that song, I think Piece of Mind by Boston, or for some reason The Sacrament by HIM would also be covered awesomely. ok

AHHH!? GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!

Last night I was listening to The White Album in the car on the way to the video store and when "While My Guitar..." came on I was thinking how Axl would do a sweet version of it...to the point where I started singing along with my own, piss-poor "Axl voice".

I later skipped to "Blackbird" and thought a nice, quiet Axl cover of that would be cool for a B-side or possibly an unplugged performance.

I think putting their newest version of knockin On Heavens Door on the album would be pretty cool.  Did they play this version at all their shows in 2002?  Did they ever play there older version?  I personally liked it, and it would be something different.  I don't know of any bands that have covered a song twice, and done it well both times.

That could be a great cover, also HIM has few other songs that I'd like Gn'R to cover,  Gone With The Sin could also be great.

I've said it a million times before, I'd LOVE to see what Axl & Co. could do with 'Kiss From A Rose' by Seal. It's one of the better written songs of the last decade, and a harder, but more epic interpretation could be mind-boggling...

That would be awful. Why give him more of a white trash stigma?

I think a great cover for the new band to do would be an updated version of "In the Light" by Led Zeppelin. Not doing a song that was played into the ground on radio, but something epic.

I'd like to hear Axl run thru "where eagles dare" by the misfits and it sounds like something the new band could pull off pretty well. Altho I don't know how big a fan of the misfits axl is, duff was the punk guy.
