Don't follow my footsteps, i walk into poles

« on: October 03, 2004, 09:43:37 AM »

Well, Normally I do not like much of the new bands performance, mainly Axl's vocals.  However I REALLY wanted to get into the new band and Axl's new vocals.  Well, I downloaded the Albany show and I was FUCKING AMAZED by Axl's voice in it.  He sounded really rhaspy again in his voice...Especially Welcome to the Jungle.  That has to be the best performance of Welcome to the Jungle by the new band I think.  Although I can't say I have heard them all, I've heard a lot and I don't think any can compare.  And how about the Blues?  Don't you agree that Axl sounded amazing on the Blues with the use of that rhasp? hihi  It almost sounded like the old Axl was singing the Blues.  But yeah, I love this show, and i think it is FUCKING great.  By the way, if anybody else knows some new Guns N' Roses shows where Axl has that rhaspy voice, PLEASE fill me in.  Thanks! ok

I have been to 3 of the new shows. And was blown away by Axl's voice! He has kept it up very well. I don't think any of the bootlegs do him justice thou. you have to be there to get the full effect. Good luck getting there!

That show is one of my favorites. Its a great all around show. Great audio and video. And Axl was awesoem along with the band. They had great chemistry that night. lol, my favorite part is when they play soccer with bucketheads doll on stage when they jam to PC.

I suggest you also check out MSG. Absolute perfect show.

Yeah!  I got Madison Square Garden downloading right now actually yes  But SO FAR, I'm not AS impressed as I was with Albany...Albany is the best.  I've also heard some talk of Colombus, Cleveland, and Chicago?  Anyone got opinions?

Get Welcome to the jungle from Toronto, it's better than Albany in my opinion.

Can anyone send me any of these shows or at least some of the songs?  I haven't heard any of them really, except some crappy versions of madagascar and the blues.  Thanx guys!

Yeah, Nightrain from Pukkelpop kicks so much ass, its easily the best performance of the song by the new band I think. My Michelle was excellent at that show too. I have to agree about the Blues performance in Albany, its my favorite performance of that song and I think its absolutley flawless. I think the instrumentation imporved drastically to from 2001 in RIR 3 for example. Like take Robin's guitar solo in the Blues from RIR and compare it to Albany., its awesome. Id say Columbus and Boston are 2 other shows you definately have to check out, as someone else stated, I also heard Toronto was a great show but video is hard to find for it.

You can find the Albany concert on the Hub.  Or I could probably send it all to you.  But yeah, I have heard WTTJ from Toronto a long time ago and I do remember liking it a lot, but I also remember it was hard to find a good sound quality for that show, If i remember right.  But yeah, Nightrain at Pukkelpop huh?  I thought nightrain at Rio 3 was a good one, but I guess i gotta check out pukkelpop now.  I've heard one of the best versions of the new knockin on heaven's door is the one from Rio?

Nightrain from RIR 3 pales in comparrison from the Pukkelpop version I think. KOHD from RIR 3 is fanatastic though, definately one of the highlights of that show.

Axl uses a super-rasp on 'The Blues' from the Pitts show. I love it. But yeah, the Albany show was nothing short of fantastical...
