I heard somewhere that Axl worked or helped out on one of the Perfect Circle albums. Is this true? If it is, do you know what exactly he did?

Here's what probably happened:
Axl was engineering drum parts that Josh Freese was playing. The parts were not required for Axl's album. Josh liked the parts and was permitted to keep the DATs and thus brought them to the Perfect Circle sessions where they were used on a track.
I have no clue. But that's what I think happened.
