It's nothing special, I was reading the mag while waiting to pay for food at the grocery store, it had dead rockers, then showed which rocker is dead and which one is bloated.. Axl was on the list.. It was people either dead or ate to much.. Avril is on the cover..
Dead or Bloated?
WHich rocker burned out and which ones ate away?
My question is why do people (general public) feel axl has become fat?
My own feeling was he looked a little bigger at rio but I can see he isn't heavy.. Did the vmas make him look that bad.. Most mags outside of rock usually have some plastic surgery refrence or fat joke, why is this? I understand the plastic surgery because of the one picture I see floating around, but I never understood the fat jokes to the casual person..

It's cool to say Axl Rose is fat, or whatever.

Axl Rose took a lot of criticism from the grunge bands of the early `90s and some think it is still "cool" to dis Axl.

axl was chubby at rio but on the 2002 tour he wasnt, later that year at vegas all the mags talked how he had slimmed back down
didnt someone say he gained weight after gettin off some medicine?
he has clearly lost what weight he picked up, its no big deal
you have to realize, in axl's heyday he was probably 10 to 20 pounds underweight
so for people who dont know axl he wouldnt be considered fat at all, its just compared to his bony anorexic lookin self he appears fat just where he has finally at the right weight.

well.. nobody can look like their 20 year old heroine addicted self forever... and i think the bagginess of the clothes in the 2002 vmas had a lot to do w/ the public's point of view concerning axl..

I don't know if he was ever on medications, but I do know that most psych meds will have some effect on weight, usually weight gain. Its very common for someone on anti-depressents or anti - anxiety meds to gain weight.

That's what I think too...but not only considering the VMA's but also the 2002 tour and all the shows where he's wearing those football jerseys, etc.
I guess it'd be much cooler if he'd be wearing some dress like that one time in Vegas [new years eve].
Or the other, black one, can't find a pic of it though...

I know i've seen teh picture a million times, funny they never use that one inrefrence to him gaining weight, I think it's from the vmas... The picture they used in the article was him wearing a white shirt, with his sunglasses hanging from the front, looked like a newer pic -2003-.
I don't think for the general public it's rio, I don't know anyone outside of forums that saw it..
