Yeah, I could see where guitar skills, a good singing voice and song writing abilities would annoy someone

Awesome kujo!  Thanks for posting this... I tried searching on LimeWire for an MP3 but had no luck.  Ben Harper really does a good job of picking the right songs to cover.

I really like Diamonds on the Inside.

People new to his music should check it out along with, Another Lonely Day, Waiting For You, Better Way, Happy Everafter In Your Eyes, and With My Own Two Hands.

Those are all great songs... I'm not too familiar with Diamonds on the Inside (the album, I mean - the song I love).  How does it compare to Fight For Your Mind?  Is that album generally considered to be his best?

Probably. I'm just starting to get into all his albums. Diamonds on the Inside has a lot of great songs on it. It's definitely worth checking out. Burn to Shine is also supposed to be great. Haven't heard it yet.

I've only been tortured with the few songs I've heard Journey listen to in the car but from those songs he seems like a homeless person's Dave Matthews/Eddie Vedder offspring.

Nothing about his songs grab me and make me connect.
