Hello fellow Gunners,
I have been hoping that throughout the years of making this album Axl and Co have been keeping a video log of studio sessions when they have been laying down vocal and instumental parts for the new material as well as bloopers and/or experimental ideas.
This would be great to see as a documentary or as extras on a future DVD e.t.c. I would personally get a real kick out of seeing some short clips of these studio moments and it would be a great way for the new GNR to give something extra back to us loyal and patient fans.
Do you agree?
W. Axl. Rick

That would be such an added bonus to the album! I would love to see what's been going on all these years. It would really shed some light on all of these missing years of GNR's legacy. Not only that, it would be a fantastic business decision - I'm sure that a lot of people would be interested in buying a DVD like this.

interesting speculation but once again a bit persumptuous. If bucket and/or brain are out, then I would think that such a disc would not be put out there. I would prefer the dvd of the HOB show since it has a dated performance associated with it; anything that dealt with the interpersonal relationships between the 'mates would probably not be a good idea. also, from what i hear, axl rarely shows up for the studio sessions. Much of the work is done player by player at a time; each works on a segment for a week or two, then passes it off to the next player. Not at all like the way aerosmith, metallica, or even limp worked out their latest godstrokes.

I've seen these topic so many times through the years, I just have to reply to this one. Axl has never put out a DVD to accompany his work. Given that they were not that popular back in the Illusion days. I think he might change his mind and some sort of promotional thing over a GN'R website or some shit for the fans. By the way whatever happened to the ever so popular "STREET TEAMS" that were assembled?

as private as Axl is, I can't see him allowing a camera crew access into the studio to give a true behind the scenes look at the making of this CD. It would be incredible, but unlikely...Unless it is random amateur video footage from someone very close to Axl (and not an actual filmmaker or videographer that was hired), than I doubt anything like that happened.

I do expect some sort of DVD to be available around the time of the album's release. There's been too much done to just keep it put up in a vault.
