It's a "new" 2003 59 Reissue purchased from Mike Mixson of Guitar Galleria. I cannot recommend these guys enough. The really went through a lot of guitars to make sure this was the one I'd be happiest with. Since these are expensive I was super picky about not only how it looks but how it plays and sounds. It came with double cream DiMarzios which I will be removing and replacing with some Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pros with nickel covers. This is my favorite R9 that I've owned. I just sold two that had Brazilian rosewood fretboards but wasn't totally happy with. Since they've become collectable I made enough money to get three guitars from selling those two. Overall this one sounds better and has no cosmetic flaws that bother me like the other two. Gibsons quality is pretty iffy these days even on their flagship models.
I'm not into removing the pickgaurd since I like the way the original 50's Les Pauls look the best.
