it's the paris show !!

I was wondering the same thing myself, because Izzy is wearing the same blue collared shirt that he wore in the Paris pics.? So either Izzy only brought one shirt in his suitcase, or these are the Paris pics? hihi

mike - thanks for the pics, always good to see them? ok

Great to see Izzy....

I find it funny how Weiland/ Vr complain about the whole GNR thing yet, they have Izzy come and jame and have 3/5 of GNr on stage....

True my friend, but he was a founding member of vr.. I think it's a great treat to see izzy.. I'm sure scott just wants to to be vr, he probably just doesn't want chants of gnr at the show.. He isn't with stp either, but he still thinks of the fans enough to play some old tunes..

imo you have to include Sorum eventhough you may like Steven a bit better like I do. Sorum did play on the Illusions and Spaghetti.

It is awesome to see Izzy/Slash/Duff/Matt together like that. It is almost scary how close to GNR that really is, but even beyond that just to see that they all like each other and are friends is the coolest part. The fact they didn't all lose eachother and go their seperate ways after the break up and start to hate eachother is a good thing. Maybe one day Izzy can get a little more serious about VR and play more often with the guys or contribute to the next album.....I like Dave but I so wish Izzy would have stayed with the guys in the beginning.

I agree about how cool it is to see them together.. When I look at ti now I think it was better for izzy to make guest spots, he seems to be happier being able to leave when he wants..

What amazes me is the fact we have matt duff slash n izzy yet half the people on the gnr boards aren't vr fans.. Sure we can say well everyone doesn't like scott, but if they picked sebation bach (i love skid row) people would say they got someone like axl, gnr rippoff, etc.. Same with josh todd....

I think part of the problem is people are so obssessed with cd that they won't allow them to enjoy something else.. Some blame the ex gunners for the albums delay.. Whatever helps someone get through this wait..

I admire vr because it's something harder to do because the name is unknown and the band is labled as a supergroup. if they were a group of young guys with the same rock sound they might be getting a much higer praise...e

Someone like axl has somewhat of a super group, but he has the gnr name which makes it easier because gnr has a huge fan base...

As I said it's a real shame that people don't just enjoy this band and be hapopy they're one with great chemistry as ex gunners.. They get the job done, they had huge problems with drugs, they're close with the fans, their info is second to none.. It's a great thing..I hope it lasts forever..
Everything they do as a group I wish axl would do..

Hey MikeG,

It is a shame that people seem to be down on VR (mostly the Axl loyalists).  But hey, I have rocked out to Slither and Sucker Train Blues and other songs on Contraband.  I still have the CD in my car stereo, and it has pretty much stayed in there since the release.  Contraband is the best hard rock music I have heard since Use Your Illusion 2.

first off dude sorry about the show, I was at msg..

I still listen to it often..I love the album.. I guess it depends on what you like, I'm more of a straight up hard rock fan... I was 15 when I bought the illusions. I love the albums even though some songs aren't my thing, afd was the best for me.. I'm looking forward to more music from them, the band has been great so far..

I hope when they do their next tour they hit msg, the current dates in nyc are for contest winners..

The only recordings I know of was from actual fans that recorded the songs on their own, mp3 players.. My advice would be to ask someone french, spanish or italian if their forums are hosting anything from the show..

Also I would imagine RIk from belowempty will have something if it ever surfaces Wink
