do you know if they are still the managers of Guns n' Roses? I asked this question to Jarmo but he told me he wasn't sure on that point. If you have some news or if you know it, it would be nice to tell us.
In the case they aren't the managers anymore, Who is (are) the manager(s) of the band now?

GN'R's manager is Merck Mercuriadis:

Btw Zutaut was not GN'R's manager, he was A&R executive at Geffen.

ok, thank you Will. Do you know why Doug isn't the manager anymore? because I remember reading interviews at the time of Rio 3, and he was still the manager. Was he fired or did he decide to quit?

I don't know the details, but maybe Mysteron does. My guess is that Goldstein quit when he became co-president of Sanctuary Management. He's part of the "L.A. Managers" team:

Doug was still around in
2002
, but I'm not sure when he left or if he's still involved in the GN'R world.
But Merck is working with GN'R, that's true.

Didn't Doug get fired over the "I found out I had a tour when I read it on the Internet" incident?

I don't think there was any official word about Goldstein's departure but I might be wrong.

Yeah, that was retarded.
But, if you've followed things for a while, things like this happen with Axl

Well if he was still around working with GN'R in 2002, then that doesn't really make any sense.

I have always liked Doug. too bad he was fired (or he left). Maybe he is still in contact with Axl we never know. The guy seems to know lots of things about "chinese democracy". I read several interviews where he said the material he heard sounds great. It was around Rio 3, in 2001. I'll try to e-mail him if I find his e-mail adress and ask him 2 or 3 things. Just a short e-mail with 2 or 3 questions. No more.Maybe he will answer.

I could be wrong about this, but I thought when Doug went to Sanctuary and brought Guns N' Roses over, he was in charge of the band only untill he got someone capable to take over. Once he set them up with Merk, he moved full time into an executive roll with the Company.
Like I said, I could be wrong.
