It's better to burn out than to fade away...

« on: September 09, 2004, 04:20:26 PM »

The primary reason, I believe, that Axl has laboured for so long on Chinese Democracy is that he is trying to match his past success.  The problem is that those past successes were so great that it would be hard to match those anyway.  But the longer he waits, the greater everyone's expectations become.  The longer he works on trying to make the album match expectations, the harder it is for it to match them.

Chinese Democracy is now a legendary project, largely due to the time Axl has spent working on it.  How can he ever reach our expectations now?

he shouldnt give a fuck about what our expectations are.  He's more likely trying to live up to what his expectations are for guns n roses.

Not just that you know, but this album has become a running joke not just in the music press but amongst fans and non-fans! If axl wants to make everyone quiet about it he will just release it! you were right about the fact that the longer we wait the bigger everone's expectation come! but my questoin is...will the hype be what people remember not the music?
