Dizzy's the man, and he remembered to mention his wife. He's a keeper!

Dan: Is there any kind of a timetable?  I know its so hard to say because there are so many dates that have been thrown around, but is there any idea at all?
Dizzy: There isn't unfortunately.  I would say this year.

hows that for a vague answer ?

So calm down guys, CD won't be released this year, maybe 2040 is the year.

Great read.  Dizzy is awesome.  It seems like gives Dizzy some authority to speak on some subjects.  He must really trust hime then.  Guys GNR as relevant as they have been in 10 years.  As of 2 years ago, every casual music fan I came across thought GNR is over.  I am known in my parts as the big time GNE fan so it gets brought up a lot.  Anyway, after the VMAs and other stuff they were the brunt of a lot of jokes and stuff.  But now it appears a lot of people are really interested in whats going on.  I field a lot of questions on the subject.  People are like that Axl is really fucked up huh.  And then they say but I heard he has some good shit to release.  Axl madness seems to be working a little bit.

That was probably the best gnr interview regarding getting info on CD. Great interview. Excellent questions.

The part when he talks about having multiple versions of songs and how they are all good is very interesting.

And as for bucket. Ive been saying this since day 1. Its either "they made believe he quit" to buy some time, or that there hoping when theres some order and structire in terms of releasing the album he will come back.

If he ever came back fugeddaboudit......

I cant beleive he said it will exceed expecations. AT least it will be an excellent album. Anything more that for me is gravy. Rock the fuk on motherfuckers.

just because he made that comment about the mix doesnt mean its not done. If they are still working on tracks this year it wouldnt be out of question to still have a few tracks to mix. A mix really wouldnt take too long.

Do you really believe Axl would ever promise/do thing like that? that he would sell his soul 'cause of Bucket. If he really would promise that kind of thing to Bucket and cry him back to the band he would be serious pussy ass..something that he has never been really.

and btw..great interview indeed!!!!!

Does anyone remember the IRS leak thread? A poster by the name of "spider" (he only had like 4 posts) made a comment that this was the single mix and the album mix would be slightly different. The guy then said the leak was a test to see if the water was warm enough for the "baby". He lastly said "wait." It sounded very much like something Axl would say. I actually thought it was him. However, Jarmo then lost some posts in the thread and "spider" was one of them. Jarmo, any idea what I am talking about. Undecided

What's he suppose to say, "No, the record sucks, I don't think it's going to exceed expectations." I wouldn't read too much into that statement.

As for the interview as a whole, the questions that were asked we good ones, but all his answers were very vague (what else is new from anyone in GNR).

I don't think Dizzy knows any more than we do about CD. It could come out this year or it could come out in 10 more year, but I bet I know the release date before Dizzy does...lol

Dan: The ones that have been around for a few years, have they changed a lot over the years?  Is that one of the things that holds up the release?
Dizzy: They change a little bit, yeah.  And as is the modern way, some of the songs have two or three different versions.  You know, remixes and what not.  There's so many great players in the band now and there are so many great parts that have been laid down now for all the songs, unfortunately its impossible to put them all on there.  The obvious thing would be to have a couple versions of each song.  I don't know if that's going to happen, but its definitely possible.  And I have heard several versions of some of the cooler songs, and they all sound great.  All the players that have come in and out of this project are phenominal players.  So there's a lot of great stuff to choose from.  Its an unenviable task for whoever is going to mix it.  BUT THEY BETTER PUT MY SHIT IN THE MIX!

im confused dizzy says there are three remixs of some of the songs, then says its an unenviable task for whoevers gonna mix it...  eh?  Huh
