Tommy's recent comments on the status of Democracy have to be taken seriously.  I highly doubt that if this record was not near completion,  then Axl would tell Tommy to shut the fuck up!  Axl might see this as an opportunity for Tommy to plug the new album a bit without actually making any type of official statement of his own.  What do you all think?  I highly doubt Axl would let Tommy run his mouth about the album if what he were saying had no merit!

Why not??

Axl allowed a message to be posted on his band's official website that said "Stay Tuned" for information about Chinese Democracy.  That message expired after a year.

I think Axl doesnt want anyone letting out about the songs, as for saying its almost done, ect. the members have been saying that for a few years. Axl said in 2002 the album is coming but soon isnt the word.

It's obviously your first post wildfire.  The GN'R ball does NOT start rolling until there is something official out there.  The Tommy ball has started rolling, NOT GN'R's.
