I love contraband but I always thought FTP was the weakest track. I think if they were going to release a ballad as a 2nd single it shoulda been YGNR. I actually prefer LTA but YGNR has that awesome solo which is missing from most other rock music now a days.

What do I think about it?  Well for starters I think I've already said it in the 10 other threads devoted to Fall To Pieces.

I used to think Fall to pieces was the weakest ballad, but after I saw it live I just love it so much

It's an average rock ballad tune. Not bad. The video is entertaining to say the least.

Still like "Lady Picture show" better though....

I know, but LPS is a mid-tempo song as well, kinda remind me of FTP. Plus, the same singer...

FTP and Big Machine to me seem so repeditive. I love the sound and vibe of them both, but the lyrics sound like a broken record on the album, Live the songs sound bad ass, on the record it sounds like its skipping or something.  LTA is my favorite ballad, even the other version that is out on the net, I like better then FTP.  YGNR is also a great ballad. I always felt a good ballad tells a great story and with FTP, it just doesnt give me a story, it just gets repeditive, I think its the second single because Scott picked it and wanted it to be a single for his wife.

About the video: It's such a GNR rip off! Who did they hire to direct it? Andy Morahan?

FTP is my favorite ballad on the album.  It has that old school ballad feel to it.  It does sounds like GNR, and that is what is so fucking cool about it.

thats a sad statement by today's standards.....but you are right...its an average rock ballad of today,slow,whiney,cliche,etc...like something creed or stainded would put out...i was really disappointed when i heard it was the 2nd single.......this song does not compare to any gnr or stp ballad IMO.
