Tommy Stinson confirmed to a colleague of mine a couple of days ago that Chinese Democracy is still expected by the end of the year
   
Stinson also confirms this in a new article in the Omaha World Herald. I will post the article in the news forum

When people say that they're doing something till the end of the year it doesn't mean 31st December for fucks sake.

Considering how many people don't believe the things Tommy says, it's funny how when he says something like that it must mean he's touring untill 31st December 

End of year = Any time in December, maybe even end of November.

And.... if you're gonna take him literally he did say CD coming real soon after that.

It's all a matter of interpretation.

It certainly does not mean no CD this year. Far from it.

I'm not saying it's going to come out this year, but late NOV/DEC is still a possibility.
If/when the label is assured the CD is finished and ready to roll, they'll be more than willing to release it this year during the holiday season.
If Axl still is tweaking stuff and dicking around, they'll end up delaying it a couple of more months. Regardless, don't discount a 2004 just yet.

I suppose technically it is closer to being done than ever before.  I mean, we have to be one day closer to the release today than yesterday 

But, I've heard so many stories from Tommy and Dizzy in the last two years stating it was almost finished and would be out soon that I'm not going to get excited until I hear a new single on the radio...
