me too! I don't understand why so many people dislike TSI...I mean the songs rock. It is nothing more and nothing less then a cover album where the band haves some fun with excisting songs "Do yourself a favour and go find the originals" That's what they did. Not so... these songs were all recorded (well almost every one of them) when the Use Your Illusions albums were done.  They were all recorded in the same sessions.  In fact, I have the demo's of some of the songs.

But yes, its a great album, and in fact, it is Gn'R's heavest rock record too, in the mixing, the album is fatter in sound than any of the previous.

Great stuff.

But onto the CD thing... it's gonna be a great album for sure, but I don't really think it will sound like Guns N' Roses used to sound.  But since it's an entirely different band, and virtually all of GnR's sound relied on mainly Axl and Slash, musically it wont sound anything like GnR.

How can that be with gilby is on the album and not izzy?

Spaghetti was mostly recorded during the Illusions sessions-Gilby came in later and redid Izzy's parts. What a shame because Gilby blows (I do think he is a pretty good guy though). For a reference read the Rolling Stone article where Slash is interviewed and was on the cover.
