I really think Chinese Democracy will be a very good album and will indeed have a lot of hype when it finally arrives.  However, Axl has to be concerned about the inevitable comparisons to the orignal line up and their success.  But, he has to expect that if he's going to keep the name GN'R.  GN'R to many people is Axl, Slash and Duff.  It's almost like Mick Jagger trying to put out a new album with all new members and calling it the Stones.  Axl has a lot of pressure on him without question.  He's got to not only live up to the previous GN'R standards, but actually get people to buy into his new band as being GN'R.  I don't think he'll ever completely accomplish that.  Plus, he's got to justify the time and money spent on the project.  I don't want to start another 'should Axl call the new band GN'R' topic, but I always wondered if the label pressured him into keeping the GN'R name just for the pure reason that name will sell albums.

Do you think Axl is still afraid by the succes and that's why he hides himself from the public life?

I think he's more afraid of reading the same things about himself day after day after day on various Internet message boards.  hihi

I don't think he's hiding. If you look up your GN'R history, Axl never seemed like the kinda guy who'd turn up at every movie premiere just so he could get his picture in the paper. Not even when they were the biggest band in the world. So nothing seems to have changed regarding the so called "hiding".
