Why is The Spaghetti Incident? called like that?

When Steven was sueing GN'R in court Steven said something like (I think he was referring to never being accepted and fitting in) "And lets not forget about the spaghetti incident!"
Which prompted the reply "The spaghetti incident?"
Apparently at some point Steven had bought some spaghetti and not finshed it, left it in the fridge and gone to sleep. Slash woke up and ate it.

There are a couple of different version saying duff/axl ate it.
