When did we first hear an announcement that GN'R were going to play Vegas back in 2000?

Just wondering? ?Cheesy

edited to put correct year.

Jarmo, I did see on your site (news) that you had posted something on Dec. 6, 2000 about the show.

Was there any indication before then or just speculation like there is now that a possible warm up gig may happen?

Don't know about the Dec. 2001 gigs, but the HOB show (01.01.01) was announced roundabout Dec. 6th, 2000.  At least, I still have the email Harlee sent me which was dated 12.06.00 as well as the gnrdirect email dated 12.07.00.

I remember... I guess nobody knew at the time because all the info and speculation were about the RIR gig, announced in september or october, I guess. For me, at least, was a big surprise.

For the 2000 NYE show the news came on December 5th/6th.

For the 2001 shows there were rumors in early December and the confirmation came on the 4th.

As you can see, it was around the 5th for both years.

so probably it would be safe to assume we will gets offcial notice to any gigs a month or so before then, including any tour, right?

Probably unless it's a secret gig.

But my guess is that a tour would be annouced more than a month a head.
