Said he looks back fondly at The "Mats...

Talked about how he got in GNR via Freese..

Called Axl one of the "ballsiest" guys he's ever known, continuing without the originals with the name..

Doesn't worry about GNR going global again, just having a good time...

Put his own money into VGH..

Worked on both VGH and GNR at the same time..

Hasn't lost creativity through drug or alcohol abuse...

Says All Shook Down and Tim were his greatest accomplishments in The "Mats..

Says he likes touring in a van and staying in shitty motels just as much as the GNR set up, just likes playing live..

That's it, nice interview..

IMO, No need to worry about going global basically, but local maybe?
Anyhow, he has a great musician spirit.

That's cool, I like Jim Rome.

Vince Neil was on his show about a couple years ago, and Jim had him on for like two hours...

Maybe we'll get a chance to hear Axl on his show since Axl is such a sports afficionado when the time comes.

it was a pretty sweet interview overall.  hearing about tommy was cool since i still don't know that much about him.  and I'm glad rome didn't ask him when Chinese Democracy would come out.

During the past two weeks, Tommy Stinson has been all over the place. Interviews, shows appearances, radio...if he is getting that much promotion, doesn anyone still think GNR will only need one month to promote their long awaited CD??
