FALSE RUMOR: GN'R at the VMAs

I think if Mysteron's convinced enough that GNR won't be there, a week before the show that he subtitles the thread 'False Rumor', we know our answer. I for one won't be tuning in.

I can see the logic behind the rumor

Tommy does Cali dates on 28th and 30th Aug but not on the 29th. Dizzy does Cali dates on 25-27th Aug but then there is a gap. And BT have cancelled their tour (as far as I know). So everyone is available and Tommy and Dizzy are in the Cali area

The official word though is that they are not at the VMA's.

Which would make sense....except the VMA's are in Miami this year.

So, being in Cali around the 29th wouldn't be of much help.

Not that I'm calling anyone a liar, but I really don't think MTV would divulge in any top-secret performances. It's just something we have to wait and see. There's a very good chance they'll be there, but there's also a very good chance they won't be there. Only time will tell...

From what I can see, the performers at this years VMA's arn't exactly 'exciting'! lol! Who's gonna do the big finale? Last year it was Metallica (another fav band of mine), and of course the year fore was GN'R... what was 2001 anyone?
