10 questions for Slash!

One of my friends works for Kerrang Radio.

He is interviewing Slash next week in Munich, and has asked for some input on questions.

Seeing as we never got a response from Axl Rose, I thought it might be fun to come up with 10 questions for Slash

I thought about putting this under the VR section, but I imagine most people read this board.

So, would anyone be willing to help out? Naturally we will need to agree on the final 10 and I can't guarantee he will ask them but its worth a shot!

Ok here are my questions:

- When they tour the USA again will they play longer sets, thus playing more of Contraband songs and possibly more STP/GNR tunes?

- Seeing that they have toured Europe and USA recently do they have plans to tour South America (specially Peru) anytime soon?

- Will Izzy colaborate with them in future proyects or concerts?

- Does he still talk with guys like Dizzy Reed and Gilby Clarke?

First of all, give your friend this message: PLEASE DO NOT ASK SLASH ANYTHING ABOUT AXL ROSE!? Slash has answered ten billion questions about Axl in the last plethora of interviews he's given.? Ask him something else for god's sakes!

Here are some much better questions....

1. Does VR have plans or would they consider taking Adler's Appetite along as an opening act? (That would be the question I'd most like answered)

2. (Booker's good question) Why the lack of certain VR songs in their setlist?

3. What sorts of venues are they looking at playing next?? (i.e. how much bigger?)

4. Do they (VR) have plans to cover any other GNR or STP songs in their setlist?

5. Do they plan to play longer sets next time around?

6. Did he (Slash) actually watch the entirety of VH-1's Behind the Music on GNR, and what did he think of the show overall?


Essentially, ask him questions that haven't been asked 100,000 times.? Asking him questions like "is there going to be a GNR reunion", or any question about Axl Rose, is like (Pardon the pun) beating a Dead Horse.

Why does he think the album hasn't been as successful in Europe? Prob he wouldn't answer that one, he would say something like " I'm not the right person to answer that" but it'd be interesting to hear Slash's opinion on the matter anyway.

Does he have any other colaborations lined up?

Will VR perform at the VMA's?

Any idea what the third single will be?

The second album? maybe its too early, but who knows...having have signed a contract with RCA maybe they are attatched to release another album in two years...

What's his favorite track of the album?

What kinda of music does he listen to lately?

Like Chinasky said...ask him if there will be a second album and if so, when?

Another question...ask him how he's found the VR fans at concerts compared to the GNR fans back in the day and then in addition to that, which shows has he felt were the best, like in terms of the rowdiness of the crowd, and how well they played...
