"I knew the storm was getting closer!"

« on: August 17, 2004, 06:16:07 PM »

Don't think this has been done before and since the lack of any news worthy or interesting threads is getting me down, I thought why not.

What would be your ideal 20 song setlist which included ONLY songs that were NOT released as singles (official OR unofficial)?

How 'bout this...

perfect crime
shotgun blues
shadow of your love
move to the city
mr. brownstone
don't damn me
pretty tied up
14 years
civil war
you're crazy
bad apples
locomotive
reckless life
back off bitch
out ta get me
used to love her
hair of the dog
rocket queen

ENCORE:
coma
nightrain

Bring It Back Home
Double Talkin' Jive
Dust N' Bones
Estranged
Free Falling [i think that counts]
It's Alright
Madagascar
New Rose
Out Ta Get Me
Reckless Life
Rocket Queen
Shadow Of Your Love
The Blues
Think About You
You're Crazy (AFD version)

Not including singles i can only list 14. Some have listed OMG and Nightrain, these were released as single i'm sure. I could add It's So Easy to the list, i'm pretty sure that wasn't released as a single (correct me if i'm wrong)

Some have listed OMG and Nightrain, these were released as single i'm sure.

I don't think OMG was officially released as a single (as in having its own CD)... just part of the movie soundtrack.

Opens with...

1) Paradise City (Lights still out with the opening lines, slowly builds with strobe flashes untill an explosion of pyros signals the bulk of the song...I know this violates the rules, but I've really been into this song lately.)

2) Right Next Dorr To Hell
3) Breakdown
4) Madagascar
5) Your Crazy (Slower, yet electric version)
6) Rhiad & The Bedoiuns
7) Get In The Ring (New lyrics)
Cool Don't Damn Me
9) Garden Of Eden (Although I think this was a single)
10)Dead Horse
11)Chinese Democracy
12)It's So Easy

Encore 1...
13)Since I Don't Have You (This was too...but I could'nt resist)

Encore 2...
14)Coma

Civil War was the B-Side to YCBM...technically I guess it's a single but, really, isn't that what makes a B-Side a B-Side and NOT a single?

UTLH and Nightrain I was unaware of (unless they were B-Sides like Civil War).

Actually Civil War and Dead Horse were both released as singles

Dead Horse wasn't a single but was released as a Video tape only limited single.  Civil War was released on 'the Civil war Ep', not a single, Hair Of The Dog wasn't a single, it was planned to be released but was shelved.  OMG wasn't a single, however a promo CD of it was put out.  Nightrain was a single, Paradise City was a single, UTLH wasn't.  I think that covers it.

Dead Horse was released as a single:

No, it wasn't.

Singles:
AFD: It's So Easy, Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O' Mine, Paradise City, Nightrain
GN'R Lies: Patience
UYI I: Don't Cry (Original), Live And Let Die, November Rain
UYI II: You Could Be Mine, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Civil War, Estranged
TSI?: Ain't It Fun, Since I Don't Have You
Other: Sympathy For The Devil

These were avalaible in stores. Unlike songs like Pretty Tied Up and Oh My God which were released as promotional singles to radio stations.

As usual, you're right Jarmo. Dead Horse was a promo single, my mistake!
