When I listen to YCBM I like it better. When I listen to SMF I like that better. So it's a tie.

I prefer Set Me Free, You Could Be Mine isn't exactly one of my favorite Guns N Roses songs

I really can't, or won't compare songs. It's like comparing apples to oranges, ya know? Can't we just enjoy / bite into both? Mmmmm yum!

Are you gonna make a new thread for every song on Contraband??
What's with the fascination of comparing VR songs to GN'R songs?

As much as I'm into VR right now and not as into GNR....You Could Be Mine smokes Set Me Free(the weakest song on Contraband) anyday!

You Could Be Mine is better for me because it happens to be one of my favorite Guns songs. But, Set Me Free is still a pretty good song, although on the weaker side of Contraband.

I like YCBM better as well. That is one of my favorite GNR tunes. But I have to disagree with some of you on SMF. I think SMF is one of the top 3 songs on CB. I never skip that song in the rotation.

I agree, SMF is a good song.
The only 2 songs i skip on contraband is 'Illegal I song' and 'Spectacle'
Every other song is brilliant

I've never been a big fan of YCBM, except for the "You Could Be Mine" reprise part, so Set Me Free, baby!

My band is covering You Could Be Mine on a GNR tribute album coming out soon and I was wondering if I sent it to one of you guys maybe you could make it available for download for the cats on this site, so I could hear your opinions about it. I'm a singer and I got to the video stage of the audition process, I thought I might get a physical audition, but obviously they went with Scott.

YCBM all the way, Set Me Free has no class. The YCBM intro is fucking genius.
