"You're an idiot"

WWW
« on: August 11, 2004, 12:27:53 PM »

Sirius Satellite Radio has joined forces with VELVET REVOLVER to bring Sirius subscribers an exclusive concert broadcast and backstage interviews with the entire band.

Scott Greenstein, Sirius President of Entertainment and Sports, said, "VELVET REVOLVER represents the most unique and commanding rock and roll in years, and delivers on Sirius' promise to its subscribers: the best of all genres of music, and the most original programming anywhere. This is VELVET REVOLVER's first live radio concert, and Sirius is the only place you can hear it. For that, we thank the band for their courageous support of our vision. We're thrilled to be behind VELVET REVOLVER as a band and as part of our undying commitment to rock and roll."

"Velvet Revolver Live and Loaded" will air exclusively on Sirius on Sunday, August 22 starting at 7 p.m. ET on commercial-free music channel Octane / 20. The show will be rebroadcast at 10 p.m. ET. The interviews and live concert performance were digitally recorded at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.

What does torrent mean? Can someone make a nice copy of this show? That would be way cool.

Yes channel 6020..............it's the exact same as the radio so it'll be on.  I'm just gonna do a digital audio transfer right from the surround sound to the computer.

Take a look at:  http://dessent.net/btfaq/  You can find a ton of great stuff on BitTorrent.

I don't think you will because this is only an audio broadcast.

I will try to give you an update on the torrent thing as soon as I can.

This is a great idea and I hope VR do it again. I hope this is something Sirius will do more often with other bands.

Cool interviews so far.....Duff even praised the DeLeo brothers for excellent writing.

Update, whole show wasn't played. The first hour featured interviews and them playing a few songs from Contraband.
Setlist was:
Suckertrain Blues
Do It For the Kids
Headspace
Illegal I
It's So Easy
Fall To Pieces
Big Machine
Sex Type Thing
Slither

They left out a few but still pretty cool hearing this show in perfect quality....all I can say was Sex Type Thing drool
