Big News Network.com? ? ?Tuesday 10th August, 2004?

Guns 'n' Roses bassist Tommy Stinson says the U.S. band's first new album in 10 years may be released in November, XFM Online reported Monday.

It's a hair's breadth from being finished, Stinson said of the project, titled Chinese Democracy.

Vocalist Axl Rose has recorded the album with a variety of musicians, including Stinson, who has played bass with the rock band since 1998; Dizzy Reed on keyboards; Robin Finck, lead guitar; Richard Fortus, rhythm guitar; Brian 'Brain' Mantia, drums; Chris Pitman, keyboards and special effects; and Buckethead, who recently left G'n'R as lead guitarist.

Songs reportedly included on the album are Cock-A-Roach Soup, This I Love, Suckerpunched, No Love Remains, Friend Or Foe, Zip It, Something Always, Hearts Always Get Killed, This Life, Closing In On You, Catcher In The Rye, IRS, Strange Disease, Never Had It and Today, Tomorrow, Forever.

That's not cool. I don't remember that interview containing any question pertaining to a November release. If the rumours were for any other month, that month would have been included in the story. That's crap journalism. Nuts to you 'Big News Network'!!!!!!

yea wut the fuck is up with that, the journalist just took a "hairs breadth" and assumed he meant November. That got me all excited when i read the first sentance, i fuckin' bugged out for  a sec till i read the rest and realized it was a rehash of the previous article lol.

I just don't understand where they're getting this November release date.  No one in the GN'R camp has said ANYTHING about any CERTAIN release date!

What about TWAT, I know that it's been said that The Blues and Madagascar are probably not on the album but what about the other songs that Marco Beltrami mentioned?  I'd say take this article as a grain of salt.  peace

I'd say the following are fakes: Cock-A-Roach Soup, Suckerpunched, No Love Remains, Friend Or Foe, Zip It, Something Always, Hearts Always Get Killed, This Life, Closing In On You, Strange Disease, Never Had It and Today, Tomorrow, Forever.

well all i can say is that list is missing Maddie, Rhiad, Silkworms, The Blues? and Chinese Democracy. But besides that we have the talked about ones, "This I Love", "Catcher in the Rye" and the famous I.R.S. The rest of the titles sound cool too.

According to the Rumorboard Admin, "No Love Remains", "Cock-A-Roach Soup", and "TWAT" are confirmed titles that Axl has worked on.

Why?

And what are some song titles that hold more weight for you? TWAT (There Was a Time)?

Not unheard of... Blind Melon didn't include the song "Soup" on their second album (named "Soup").  I'd actually prefer Chinese Democracy to NOT be on the record... GN'R doesn't seem like a "Title-track" band, and if it's not inculded, all that means it more new music.   ok

Hmm well its pretty cool for the board to get mentioned in the second article ok, but both sites are taking tommys comment of a hairs breadth away thing and trying to apply it to a november release date.  hmm more places are reporting the november rumor now.  I do realy hope this rumor ends up beign true but i aint gonna hold my breath

Great point Axlfink....As another example, the Doors put the song "Waiting For The Sun" on the Morrison Hotel album, which was released 2 albums after the "Waiting For The Sun" album....

(Or am I missing something...

These are the songs we know exist:

The Blues, Chinese Democracy (Freese/Rose), Madagascar, Rhiad & The Bedouins, Silk Worms (Pittman/Reed), Catcher In The Rye, Oklahoma, I.R.S, Twat, Prostitute (a working title), Oh My God (Huge/Reed/Rose)

And probably: Seven, Leave Me Alone, General, Thyme
