Rumor has it that the current "Bigger Bang" tour will be the last one for the Stones. It's expected the boys will make the announcement this Sunday when they wrap up 2 years of constant tour. Insiders say the reason for packing it in is the guys age. Should they decide to tour again they would all be in their late 60's and apparently this is something they're not interested in doing.

I dont like the sounds of this and I pray it isnt true

They always say that, but they'll be back.  That's just the fatigue talking.

Beast of Burden nice. I don't think they've played that one in years.

Keith Richards demands apology

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has demanded an apology from Swedish newspapers for their scathing reviews of the group's performance in the country earlier this month.

Tabloids Expressen and Aftonbladet gave thumbs down to the Aug. 3 concert at Ullevi stadium in Goteborg, with Expressen suggesting Richards was "superdrunk" on stage.

"This is a first!" the 63-year-old rock star wrote in a letter published by Stockholm daily Dagens Nyheter. "Never before have I risen to the bait of a bad review.

"But this time ... I have to stand up ... for our fans all over Sweden ... to say that you owe them, and us, an apology."

Dagens Nyheter said it received the letter from concert organizer EMA Telstar. Company head Thomas Johansson told The Associated Press Richards wrote the letter and gave it to him after reading translations of the Swedish reviews.

"There were 56,000 people in Ullevi stadium who bought a ticket to our concert - and experienced a completely different show than the one you 'reviewed,"' the letter said.

"How dare you cheapen the experience for them - and for the hundreds of thousands of other people across Sweden who weren't at Ullevi and have only your 'review' to go on.

"Write the truth. It was a good show."

In his review, Aftonbladet's music writer Markus Larsson gave the concert a score of two on a five-point scale, and said Richards appeared "a bit confused."

"I am not going to apologize for my subjective opinion," Larsson told the paper's web edition on Wednesday. "It is Keith who should apologize. After all it costs around 1,000 kronor (US$145) to see a rock star who can hardly handle the (guitar) riff to 'Brown Sugar' any more."

Well this is a huge relief

The Stones will keep touring next year. The details of the tour are not known yet, but rumours are saying they will do India in February, also shows in Dubai and Bangkok, probably other cities in the East as well, then returning to North America to back up the release of the movie "Shine A Light" in April.

I saw a clip of The Stones doing "Sympathy For The Devil"! Lennon was dancing away to it and so were people wrapped in sheets. Must have been at The Roundhouse!

All the set lists look pretty rad, but when you have as many amazing songs as the stones it must feel impossible to put together a set list sometimes. I know I would constantly feel like I was leaving 15 things off.

Listened to Beggars Banquet a number of times recently, such a fucking great album. I havent heard any other Rolling Stones albums that are as awesome as this yet where every track is great from start to finish. Any recommendations?

ive also heard Goats Head Soup, and Voodoo Lounge (i think thats what its called) and god knows how many other greatest hits compilations (which have some great songs on)

Let it bleed and sticky fingers. Those 2, along with BB, are the stones big three. I don't know if any 3 album output by any artist (besides GnR) could match up to those. I love the stones but nothing they ever did came anywhere near being as amazing as those 3 albums. And all 3 can be listened to from start to finish without wanting to skip a second.

Awesome ill definately be getting my hands on those albums then. Are they similar in styles, like that slide acoustic blues or are they electric?

Sticky Fingers is the complete opposite of BB.  It's mostly electric.

It's my favorite Stones album.  Blows everything away.
