Gimme some fuckin' Democracy

« on: June 15, 2004, 10:04:54 PM »

I love this man, proberly influenced me more then any other musician, just wondering if anybody's seen him in any of his bands/projects...me...

Faith No More 97- Album of the Year Tour
Mr Bungle 00'- California Tour (the best by far)
Fantomas 01'- Directors Cut Tour
Thomahawk 02'- Self titled albumTour
Thomahawk / Fantomas Tour 03' featuring The Melvins

After FNM, Patton stuck to what he was basically doing in Mr. Bungle, behind all kinds of intruments n' micraphones.
This man is a guinies, anyone seen him.
I dont think there would be many considering this is a Guns N' Roses site, i knew once Velvet Revolver where interested in Patton that he wouldnt go for it, anything Patton does anytime now you can garintee that it wont be normal music!!!

Big Patton fan here man!

Love all of Faith No More

love the first two mr. bungle cd's. California has some weak material on it.

Big fan of Tomahawk too. Awesome rock band without sounding too "modern"

Fantomas is the shit too...Did you pick up the new Fantomas cd "Delerium Cordia"?

that thing is a trip. not songs or anything...just one track thats over an hour long. my best descripion of it would be like watching a horror movie with your eyes closed. seems like a haunted, abandoned hospital. fuckin trippy...listen to it fucked up.

The guys a fucking genius, i will see him live soon whether its with Fantasmos, Tomahawk, or any of his other 5000 projects.

The thing with Mike, is he really doesnt give a fuck what people think, he makes the music he likes and doesnt givea  fuck about the masses.

Thats why he chopped his hair off in FNM when he started being labelled a rock god..among other bizarre things he started doing.

You guys should check out the work he did with The Dillinger Escape Plan...brutalness!

This guy can do it all!

Long Live The Patton!

Massive FTM fan - i have always wanted to get into Patton's millions of side projects but the sheer number of them and their alledged 'weirdness' has always deterred me - wasn't he in a band with Buckethead for a while? Crazy...

Yes he has worked with Bucket"load of shit"head.

Wonder if he had to buy him a doll before he could work with him...dunno what side project it is he worked with him for...

Hes also worked with Sepultura as well.

And probably has credits on about 5 million albums from Deftones to Korn and to Slipknot.

Hes a legend!

He only worked with Seps on Roots and the Australian only EP The Waist. The only thing he did with Jonathen Davis was on the Roots album too, besides that i dont think you'll ever see him work with that dickhead.

What did he do with Bucket, i had no idea he did anything with that guy Huh

N' whats the Dillinger Escape Plane, never heard of it Huh

An Extreme Metalcore band. He did and EP with them and played some live shows a couple of years ago.

Dillinger Escape PLAN appeared on that Hardcore tribute to Guns N Roses earlier this year.

Anyone here listen to any of his bands?  He puts out new music quicker than a Mike Tyson K.O. in 1988.  You probably know him from Faith No More.  My favorite bands of his is Mr. Bungle and Tomahawk.  He is also in a band called Fantomas.  Aside from collaborating with a million different artists he teamed up with buckethead a few years back in san fran.  Check out a mr bungle song called quote unqoute and another called desert search for techno allah.  Tomahawk song- god hates a coward.

We had a thread on this a month or so - Patton is a truly amazing vocalist, its a shame he doesn't settle on one project and really make a go of it - Faith no more's 'Real thing' and 'Angel Dust' are fantastic

The peeping tom stuff u downloaded isnt really peeping tom.  Its demos he recorded with Kaada. The name of the albumn will be called comfort system. Kaada is on Mikes Ipecac recordings label.  Peeping tom is being recorded as we speak.

The Dillinger Escape Plan plays progressive fusion jazz hardcore metal Smiley Check out the song 'Pig Latin' from the 'Irony is a Dead Scene' EP, that's classic Patton right there!
