From Mygnrforum.....

1.A person I know spoke to Brain recently (mentioned that earlier in the year)
Buckethead is allegedly still contracted to gnr. Wierd eh

2.Satriani could fill in for Bhead on future gnr tours and/or Axl may be appearing with Satriani in Las Vegas at the end of December
The link between both parties is Mr Caudieux

3.I've been told something -positive- is set to happen within 2-3 weeks in the gnr world. It's not a release date or anything but the gnr ball is starting to roll.
Unfortunately I've been sworn to silence so please don't ask questions

4.The people behind the Oceans Twelve soundtrack are interested in getting a new gnr track on the O12 soundtrack (not sure when the release date is). The film has just finished filming in Europe, and the squad are currently in -LA- doing misc stuff
Will gnr accept the offer?

I thought some of these were interesting, I hope the 2 to 3 weeks rumour is true, what could it be if it isn't a release date for the album?Single?

I have a tendency not to believe anything that comes from the mygnr forum b/c most of the stuff I have seen or heard from that place has been some of the most ridiculous shit I have ever seen/heard in my life. So I'm guessing that this is just made up shit. But if it isnt, then I'm hoping for the one about an announcement in 2-3 weeks, but I wont get my hopes up.

Just in the interest of being accurate, these rumors did not originate from the mygnr forum.

Yeah, no doubt it's a lie... but it's an amazing ideia... I'd love to see him playing with Guns N' Roses... or maybe Steve Vai... but not Mallsteen (don't hate him, anyway).

Well, maybe he is talkin'g about Tommy ]'s tour... it's the only thing that will happen in GNR world...

It's impossible to believe in some bullshits after it happens about 4 or 5 years  no

I'd normally call bullshit on this in short order, but they did originate with the admin at the Gn'R rumourboard...he's been pretty accurate in the past, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.  I get the feeling he's a Mysteron-type guy.

Time will tell, baby!!! The most interesting part for me is that he says that, if nothing happens, he'll say what it was that he expected.  That's more than most rumor-mongers are willing to do anyway.

I think it's funny we were just talking about Satriani a bit ago and this rumor about him showing up with GnR pops up....

That seems a bit too coincidental to me.

Not to add fuel to this flaming pile of possible bullshit, but the release date for Ocean's 12 is december 10th of this year.  Here's hoping.......

While I don't believe this one any more than I'd believe the rumor that I would be the new Gn'R guitarist, musically it might be more reasonable than one would think just from listening to Satriani's solo records, since Satch toured with Mick Jagger on one of his solo tours and Deep Purple in '93, thus has some experience playing in a more traditional hard rock setting...

Having said that, I'm still more likely to be the new guitarist than Satriani is.   hihi

I definetly think this is bullshit.  Why would Satriani possibly want to play with G'NR?  He is a solo guitarist and it just seems stupid to think that he'd want to go an play already written guitar parts to cover for Buckethead.  I also don't see Axl getting Satriani, cause in my opinion (and I could be wrong), Satriani isn't a very modern player like Bucket/Fink are.  Satriani is fairly classical, from what I've been told, and it doesn't fit that Axl would recruit a touring guitarist.  Axl made Fortus re-record all Paul's parts when he joined the band, so I don't see why Axl would get Satriani only as a touring guitarist.
