Hello everyone,
This is my first post on this board, and I'm sorry that it is since I've been readinf everyone elses posts for a long time now and I know how you're "one post wonders" are treated.  I don't know why I am posting this but I thought that maybe you'd get a kick out of this.
On the fourth of July a bunch of my friends were at a party in Joiliet Illinois.  There were members of a band there called Chicago Bones.  And one of the band members kept bragging about his band to everyone, telling them that they were supposed to be touring with Guns N Roses in August.  My first reaction to this was, this guy is a liar he probably doesn't even know who is in gnr these days.  And he's just saying shit at this party to sound cool.  But in the wake of this november release information who knows.  Although, why would gnr tour again before the release of their album.  Especially since they lost buckethead a short time ago.  Anyway, I wouldn't take this seriously as well as none of you should.  It is probably just a lie.  I wish I was there so I could've grilled the guy.  Their web site is www.chicagobones.com

Edit: They're playing with "the bad boys of metal" which was supposed to feature Steven Adler. /jarmo

I wonder if one of the guys from Chicago Bones is filling in on bass too?  Shocked

I don?t think GnR would tour with a band that?s basically unknown to the whole world, I think they would at least get a half known band.

Should've called yourself "tool" instead of hoolign10 because that's exactly what you are........a fucking tool.

So you figured you'd come to the premier GNR message board to get your band's name out there by creating pure bullshit, huh??

I didn't click on your link out of protest.  Perhaps if you would have advirtised in the Bad Obsession section I would have checked it out.

But no, you had to make up a pathetic story for attention!  Tool......

Not that I don't believe you, but GNR would want someone besides some local rock band to bring on tour with them. How can you go from rumors of someone as big as Evanescence to a local Chicago-based rock band?

even though this is total bullshit, if this band would get with a decent producer I think they could make some pretty good music. They really aren't that bad just need some better direction.

I know this is my first post, but i`ve been reading this site for many years.
Yesterday some of you guys mentioned a band called Chicago Bones. They were supposedly touring with Guns n roses in august.
I have contacted the band and here is my answer:

Hi.
Have heard some rumors about your band will go touring with the new Guns n roses line-up late summer.
Is that correct?
By the way, do you think Chicago Bones will be a huge band in the future?

Hello,

Yes the band is playing a show with GNR next month. Touring with them has not been confirmed.
We are wondering how you heard of us and if you have heard any of our music. If you would like, I can send you some new music or demo's. Let me know.

Thank you for your interest

But, anyways, thanks for the info. Smiley

I don`t get my hopes up to much...

Anyway, i did a little bit of more researching, and the band (CB) are scheduled to play Midwest Music Summit Indianapolis In. the 13.august. Could this be the show?

On their website they mention that they have played with bands like Disturbed, Ted Nugent, Slaughter, L.A. Guns, Warrant, Saigon Kick, April Wine, Night Ranger,7mary3, and the Damn Yankees.
Hmmm....

Tommy Stinson is touring in August to promote Village Gorilla Head.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that if GN'R goes on tour he would go back to the band on Axl's call.

That story sounds interesting but I don't see GN'R playing in that local bands festival in IN. It's Axl's home state though...hmmm...we'll see.

This is ridiculous...
You're telling me that GnR is going to play a show in 5 weeks? If Tommy had even the slightest bit of knowledge of possible shows, he would be in rehearsals with the band in LA, not promoting his new CD and planning his own tour.
I like to enjoy rumors, but this one is pathetic.
If GnR are performing live anytime before Oct. we would have heard an announcement by now.
