Everything Louder Than Everything Else

Was it just me or was Weiland off key for the whole song?  I swear he was singing flat.  And how bored did Slash look?  It looked like they were just playing to an empty room.  I was expecting better.

did enjoy it, but he was flat (often is) great frontman tho in all other respects, jsut a shame vocally cuz i like his voice on cd. band very tight tho.

was recorded live which is a lot better than the rest on totp (live vocals at most!)
so obv didnt sound quite as good as the other stuff they were playing it up against. the retarded amongst the viewing public tho wont realise that and therefore slag off VR, they might as well just shown the video or summat really. for totp that is. if ur gonna play live ontelly, the only place is 'later with jools holland' really!

I'm sorry..what are you talking about.  He often sings out of key, but he's a great frontman apart from that.  Singing is like 90% of the whole "being a frontman" as far as I'm concerned.

Even the ass clowns on Pop Idol can sing live.  Are you trying to tell me, that not only can he not write lyrics, but Scott Weiland can't actually sing either?

People should be right to criticize them if their singer can't sing.  For fucks sake.

I'll agree w/ Miz here.  The singing is important and even though Weiland look into it dressed like as Axl back in '86 his singing was not a bit off key it was awful and Slash really did look bored he barely moved about was it me or was the solo shorter? It sounded real crap IMO

Edit: The guy presenting the show also said that Contraband in it's first week in the US sold more than any rock album ever, or something along those lines.  That shocked me sorry if this is old news but i don't regularly check the VR section

I thought it was exciting and a strong enough performance.  Slash was a bit still, considering that was really their live debut in the UK. You think he'd go nuts on his home turf. But hey it was a positive performance.

As mentioned already there's not alot of quality choice for shows they can go on in the UK anymore.  Jools Holland is a must for them to show off how good they are live.  Jonathon Ross could be a good one - especially if we get a little interview too would be a laugh.
And theres CD:UK - well Slash has been on there before, i don't think they'll be to keen to interview him again though lol  It's like too much for kids but they have had some big acts on there - even U2, so they probably will end up on there.

All of you are judging weiland with bronchitis.  Las Vegas was right between the postponed portland and austin shows.  He's having a hard time singing because his throat is shit.  If you want to hear the real live Weiland, download the Roseland VCD that's floating around, before he was sick.  He nails all the shit.  He's got a great voice, and even with bronchitis I don't think this recording was the travesty people like miz are trying to make it.  For fuck's sake.

Maybe he's been up with the baby the whole night, so blame it on Cash Anthony  hihi Wink

Anyway, they better start playing other songs besides Slither!  They're doing Jay Leno next, right?  I'm crossing my fingers for FTP.

Im almost positive theyll play "FTP" on Leno...Sorum has already "requested" their new single, "Fall To Pieces" and theyre about to shoot the video.  Not to mention that they played "Slither" on Letterman and have to realize that its run its course.  So Ill be stunned if they play anything other than "FTP".

Haha yeah i remember watching that!!

Slash was being interviewed on CD:UK about 2 maybe 3 years ago. He was asked something like whats the wierdest rumor you have every heard about yourself? He replied with something like 'getting a crap blowjob behind a bar' or something along those lines. Cat Deely was clearly loving it. Then he was asked about his snakes and he started telling a story about how one of the 'little bastards bit the fuck out of him' while he was chasing it down the street. Was by far the best thing i have ever seen on saturday morning TV.

The presenters Ant and Dec had to appoligise for him after the interview, no doubt a lot of angry parents complained!
