wearing a GNR shirt from the Get In The Ring Tour and talking to the guy at the register. He was like a ruff lookin dude, still with the long hair and fu man chu. Total throw back.

I was coming back from work, wearing my nice work clothes. I thought I should say something seeings that I never see anyone these days wearing a GNR shirt, so I said something like "Nice shirt dude." He gave me a weird look, like either I was makin fun, or that I was some fuckin square or something I don't know.

The guy at register said something about my taste, but it was evident they were talking about GNR. Strange thing to walk into, as this never happens these days, and me bein me and walkin into this was odd.

So I asked the dude how he was handling the wait for Chinese D?

He turned to me and said "Chinese Democracy is going to come out."

I said "Yea I got hope too."

He said something about at least having Velvet Revolver to hold him over. I said thats cool, but it wasn't quite cutting it for me, and isnt filling the void.

He said again, "Chinese Democracy is going to come out."

He actually started lookin a little uncomfortable. I wasn't sure what to say, so I said something about how I hoped Buckethead's work was still going to be on the album.

Then the dude said (with a louder voice), "Chinese Democracy is going to come out."

(In my head)

(what the fuck?! Man some Guns fans are fucking strange.)

So I replied "yea"...looked at the guy at the register and said, "Uh 5 dollars on number 7."

Do we really need any threads that are on here? There is no news now to talk about, unless you know something your not telling us.

This is GNR related, and it was just a funny thing that happened yesterday.

Who else am I going to share this with that would appreciate it?

Personally, I think what happened to Buddha_Master is really cool, because it's so surreal.  It seems like something out of an art film...in the course of his travels, Buddha encountered a prophet of sorts, or at least a messenger.  This guy just says over and over, "Chinese Democracy is going to come out."  It may seem pointless, but the fact is that this is the one thing that unites all of us GN'R fans and keeps us coming to this board - the belief that Chinese Democracy WILL come out.  This thread is what being a Guns N' Roses fan these days is all about - unwavering faith in Axl despite all hardship and evidence to the contrary.  It's kinda like a religious experience, only with rock 'n' roll.

That's cool and surprising most people i talk to are clueless they only know stuff because i tell them.  Whenever i find a fan of GN'R stuff i generally get responses such as 'It's a shame they broke up' and im like WTF? when? and others who still think Slash is in i was talking to this guy a few weeks back saying so you like GN'R then and he's like yeah i love them so i told him how i saw them at leeds festival a couple years ago and he was like wow then he asked how Slash was once again i was like WTF? errr... dude he left.....the response was what? when? I've found this occurs with all GN'R fans i encounter they have no idea they know the past and either think they have split or are still together and just well doing jack shit i thought the fact Velvet Revolver are around might have been a big give away Slash has left but i guess people may also think it means the band has split.  Anywayz thought id share that with you since it's kinda like a story thread sorry if it's a bit dis-jointed, im feeling that way at the mo smoking

I was in a public restroom once wearing my AFD t shirt, and some dude stopped me and said "nice shirt!  I haven't seen one of those in awhile.  I saw them 14 times in 1991."

14 times in one year?  Whoa.   Shocked

All the really kooky GNR fans have been out lately.  On Friday afternoon I was at River Walk in Ft. Lauderdale, had a  late lunch at Dan Marino's and as we were coming down the stairs this crazy looking homeless woman was roaming around in a GNR 2002 tour t-shirt, muttering to herself.
I thought to myself, A. Never saw a homeless person at Riverwalk before.  B.  Tour got cancelled the week before they were supposed to come down here(damn you CC!).  How'd she get the shirt?  Strange indeed.

Amen Mattman. Summed up most of what I was thinking.

I think this is a really cool story. I wear my GNR shirts religiously, I practically live in them. I get comments on them here and there, something to the effect of "nice shirt". The best comment I ever remember was I was walking in the mall, and I see this biker looking guy with his son, and he excitely says to his dad," Wow, cool dad look, that girl's wearing a Guns N' Roses t-shirt". He was animate about his dad seeing I was wearing it, and this kid was no more than 8 years old. It made me smile.

I think the worst response I got that was GNR related, I have Axl's rose tattoo on my arm. About a week after I got it, I went to the mall, and went into a clothing store. It was a sort of trendy store. The saleswoman saw my tattoo, and was like "wow". She started asking me about it, so I walked closer to show it to her. She saw the name banner, and was like Oh, my god, Axl Rose? Why would you do that?!" She was really rude about it, and pretty much disgusted. I just looked her straight in the face, and told her I had looked up to him all of my life, and couldn't think of a better way to honor him. I then proceeded to walk out of the store, and I could hear her behind me commenting on what a horrible thing I had done. Thankfully, that's the worst response I've ever gotten. But I rarely run into GNR fans anymore.

I wear my GNR shirt every two weeks and I know what people mean. They are like yeah they are cool. WHat are they up to?

PS I hate hot topic and the shirts they sell there. It used to take a lot for a hardcore fan to find or get a shirt, not hot topic pounds them out and the wannabees wear them around. I see a guy at local concert with the shirt and I was like "Yeah Axl's the Man" and the guy was like What? and I said Axl Rose..... You know singer of GnR and he was like yeah. What kind of idiot can wear a GnR shirt and not know who Axl is?
