With the upcoming European tour in August and September, does anybody expect them to add more Contraband songs to their set or will we get the same set as the North American tour?

The album's already out and most people will be familiar with it compared to the previous tour which happened before the release.

I think they will add more contraband songs now that the album is out. I think slash or duff alluded to playing new songs for people and watching their reactions to the material in an article posted here recently.

I was wondering the same thing Jarmo...

Anyway, I think the setlist might not change until they get back to America.  I'm sure the Euro's will enjoy the STP/GNR tunes as well and let's face it, those songs get major crowd reaction...who knows...

When they get back stateside, I'd hope they drop to 1 STP and 1 GNR
song, 86 UTLH then pick or choose from the others.

No problems keeping Negative Creep or Bodies, both are fantastic in a live setting..

It'll be interesting to watch for sure..

QUESTION: Has VR changed their setlist at all during the U.S. tour?  Has it been exactly the same for every single show?

I concur, I think they won't alter it much for the European tour since this will be their inaugural Euro tour.

Hopefully they'll add more Contraband material during their second tour now that people are more familiar with it.

I definitely see them dropping "Used to Love Her".  That's good to hear them play one time, but I wouldn't want them to play it every single tour.  But I don't see them dropping "It's So Easy" for a long time, if ever, because that's such a kickass live song that really gets the crowd going, and it sounds good no matter what band performs it.  Slash always performed it live with Snakepit.

I was wondering... they don't play Superhuman, Loving The Alien, and You Got No Right much at all. I think they don't play Spectacle too I'm not sure.

I wonder why they don't play these songs??

Well in the case of Loving the alien - because its shite

Superhuman is a weaker track too - no idea why they wouldn't play You got no right - that song is class.

They play most of the album live, and some covers some that the crowd would hear some songs that they know, that's what any new band does.  Also, they don't want to go too heavy on the ballads, that never goes well at a rock n roll show, especially in the club circuit.

I'd like to hear more Contraband songs live, but I understand why their setlist is as it is.

Pretty much, but not exactly.

There was the one show (Seattle I think) that was cut short (last two songs), and theres been a few other shows that have either had "Superhuman" added or "Bodies" in the place of "Negative Creep".  And the Roxy show had both "Superhuman" and "Spectacle".

WHat is wrong with Loving The Alien??? I think it's a beautiful song.

It is in my top 3 on Contraband.

I love it. It is a ballad, and should be the 3rd or even 4th single after a couple more rockers.

If they're smart they'll put out Loving The Alien... trust me

What about Dirty Little Thing? Are they playin it? Because I think that must be really tough to play live, the solo is incredibly fast

I really wish they would play Dirty Little Thing. It's definitely one of my top 3 songs on the album! It sicks so much ass...I love the riffs, the chorus. The solo is fast kinda like Locomotive but GNR played that so there's no reason not to play Dirty Lil Thing.

I think that the european tour will practically have the same setlist. When they get back to america it depends on where they play. If they play midsize venues they'll play about 14 songs like they have, but if they headline arenas then your gonna hear LTA's, YGNR and about 20 songs total.

Superhuman will get more play, especially since it maybe there next single.

How many songs do they usually play off Contraband? 8-9?

I don't think VR will play anymore songs of contraband in Europe. Maybe replace/add another cover. Let's say Plush or Brownstone. As for playing YGNR, that could be the next single ( the third) , so when VR are back in the States again - late october - they'll prob add that song to their setlist.
