Worrying's a waste of my time.

I'm still here.  Sorry guys, nothing really new to report.  I think I put in a previous post that the reason for the postponement was because of new content being added. That's confirmed, and 100% true.

The reason I didn't come back on here is because WHAT the new content is would be speculation on my part, and I don't want to make up stupid rumors.

The contact I have at VH1 is in programming, and they just need to know from the producers WHEN the show is done and approved by the executive producers.

Check out K-Rock's review of the VR concert he went to.

"Rachel Perry from VH1 was there.  I was close enough to hear her say that the Behind The Scenes and the VR in the making show were postponed to include footage from this concert.  So I'm guessing you all might get a taste of this show.  And maybe a recent interview.  She was backstage."

This is not gonna be any new GN'R/ Axl related content...did he mistake Behind The Scenes for Behind The Music though?

Yes I did make a mistake.  I meant Behind The Music and I don't know which show the material was going to be added to......or both.

She was on stage in between Hoobastank & VR to say that VR would be out shortly.  Which of course meant, you know, 45 minutes.  (I think VR wanted to wait for the sun to go down so that the machine kicking smoke out across the stage could be seen.)

Anyway, she came from backstage, then walked out through the crowd to the VIP sectrion where she hung out during the show.  The camera man was still with her, so I'm hoping we'll all get to see footage of VR's performance.

For record:  Anybody who reads my review of the show need not think that I'm saying VR is "better than" the new-GNR because that's simply not the case.  If new-GNR hits the road with better energy and they put on a better performance that I witnessed by Velvet Revolver......then I think rock 'n' roll tours might become big again.

The VR performance I just saw was better than any GNR I saw in the past (4 concerts from '88 thru '91).

VR & GNR could put "real" rock back on the media map.

NEW YORK, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Coming up on VH1...

                              VH1 Has "Patience"

Premiering Monday July 5 10:00 PM "Guns N' Roses: Behind the Music"

Guns N' Roses emerged from the thicket of the hair metal jungle on
Hollywood's Sunset Strip in the mid-80s.  The band single-handedly reinvented
rock and roll with righteous riffs and a real and present element of danger.
Songs like Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City were not merely rebellious
anthems, they were autobiographical snapshots of a band that lived and worked
on the edge. The band's exploits became as notorious as its music as members
dabbled with drugs, booze and other forms of debauchery.  Guns' 1987 debut,
Appetite for Destruction, struck a raw nerve -- enrapturing teens and enraging
parents. Thanks to arena-ready tunes like Jungle and Sweet Child O' Mine, the
album would become one of the most successful debuts ever, selling more than
14 million copies worldwide.
Led by vocalist Axl Rose, Guns were a magnet for controversy -- be it
album covers, song lyrics, or bad behavior. And even as the band was quickly
rising up the pop music food chain, internal struggles always threatened to
tear the band apart. Original drummer Steven Adler was fired for his losing
battle with heroin in 1990. Founding guitarist Izzy Stradlin would leave soon
thereafter. In spite of the turmoil, after the 1991 release of Use Your
Illusion I and II Guns N' Roses were the biggest, baddest band in the world,
with expensive videos and elaborate stage show to match. Guns stayed on the
road to support Illusion for two and a half years, tours that were marred by
tragedy -- riots in St. Louis and Montreal -- Axl showing up hours late or not
at all. Founding members Slash and Duff McKagen dealt with Axl's unpredictable
behavior by drinking the frustration away. Soon after they got off the road in
1993, Guns N' Roses disappeared into the world of rock myth. Band members came
and went, with the only constant being the mercurial Axl Rose. A decade later,
the world still awaits the follow-up to Illusion.
"Guns N' Roses: Behind the Music" tells the true story of this band of
rock and roll outlaws.

    *all times ET/PT

The show is also listed on the VH1 schedule on July 4th @ 12pm.

That's a hell of a build-up/lead-in for VR/Contraband.

*sigh* well, anyway... check out the poll http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/behind_the_music/81346/episode_poll_template.jhtml?place=dyn_behind_the_music&pollid=guns

Will Axl Rose ever find success with a new Guns N' Roses lineup?

 - Yes. As long as Axl's at the helm, Chinese Democracy will be a hit.

 - No! I gave up on GN'R when Slash left.

Its virtually tied right now with 47% saying Yes.

Since the VH1 BTM has already aired, I'm locking the thread.  Please post any comments about the BTM show in the sticky topic at the top of the page.   Smiley
