I'm a llama!

« on: June 12, 2004, 04:13:25 PM »

I'm really intothe song, it has the you could be mine type drum intro, and it's a heavy rocker.. The other thing I couldn't put my finger on is what elseit reminded me of and I was like it sounds like a band I really use to be into..

I think it has a white/rob zombie sound in there, like ycbm meets rob zombie.. I think the song is killer, I just thought I'd see if anyone see's what I do.. beer

i'm not a fan of the track...

it all sounds like "Sex Type Thing" (I think, that STP song that goes "Moderation, is Masturbation"...)... with a boring chorus. It's a big machine! It's a big machine, yeah!!!!

I like it lyrically, and musically, but the chorus is awful, IMHO.

True, I think it's very catchy, but that's probably because the lyrics are very repetitive. You can't help but get it stuck in your head.

i liked big machine from the first spin

sometimes music is like movies

u know like some movies are solely for entertainment

this cd isnt tryin to change the world, but it is fuckin entertaining as fuck

just like this song, sure the lyrics arent axl or dylan but the songs are still entertaining, thats what they were shootin for i think

Possibly Offspring "Gotta Get Away From Me"?  Theres also shades of Queens Of The Stone Age "Feel-Good Hit Of The Summer".  And "We Got The Beat" by the Go-Gos, as several reviews have pointed out.  The verses are also reminiscient of STPs "Unglued".

Its a great song.  Infectious chorus, teriffic rhythm, cool solo, etc...

I also love the bridge..."All that first-class jet set..."

I wouldnt be surprised to see this one become a solo.

On a somewhat related note, anybody else notice that the last page of the booklet has handcuffed wrists - the handcuffs branded "OWN"...of course backwards reads "NWO".

"Im a slave, New World Order"...

When I heard it live it pumped me up and caught on with me fast. When I heard the bootleg it sounded horrible. Now on the album it sounds good, But IMO it sounded the very best live. Don't know exactly why.

It has the best riff on the album and it would be the best rocker on there if it had a decent solo

I really like Big Machine.  For the past few days, I drive to work with this cd spinnin'... and I honestly can't wait for track 3 to begin.  It is one of my favourite tracks on this album.  It is a catchy, fun song.
