Worked to hard for my illusions

What to do you think of the solos on contraband?

Here`s my rating

Sucker Train Blues 9/10 Kick ass

Do it for the kids 7/10  Short, but ok cool

Big Machine  Not really any solo here

Illegal i Song  7.5/10

Spectacle 8/10

Fall to pieces 7.5/10  A disappointment - This song just scream for a classic cool Slash solo.

Headspace 8.5/10 Cool

Superhuman  No solo

Set me free  7/10

You got no right  9/10

Slither  9/10

Dirty little thing  6.5/10- basicly just a lot of fast notes

Loving the alien 6.5/10 A big disapointment - this got to be the first solo of Slash where there`s missing feeling (just my opion)

The ratings may seem a bit low, but this is the guy who played the solos on AFD

Please share your view on the solos

They're all too short and all too low in the mix.

The songs have cool solos and shit, but they are too short. The only song that has a classi solo that could be included among Slashs best is You Got No Right. Man! That shredding he does in the beggining is just  Shocked

Gotta admit i thought the solos would be a bit better than they are on Contraband but they are still great just not up to AFD or UYI standard

I think the solos could've been better, I'd give them about 6/10 for the album overall.

The biggest problem is they are way too low down in the mix.

I like the solos alot. He seems to use alot more vibrato than in the past. I also love the solo in Dirty Little Thing. He just goes fucking nuts and it reminds me of Coma I think.
