I read on other boards (The GN'R Bar and the VR Forum) that the Seattle show was cut short after Slither. Seems like the last three songs weren't performed for some reason.

 Huh

Was anybody from here at the show?

Two songs were cut...From Velvet-Revolver.com...

Thanks to Bryce: a kick ass show but tragically just (and when i say just i mean BARELY) over an hour long set.  The set list was the same as prior shows minus mr.browstone and negative creep.  The guys all played really well but i personally was drawn to scotts amazing stage energy, that man is insane.  My favorite song of the set was their cover of sex type thing.  Overall the show had a great energy but it would have been better if the set was longer, i also won the cd, and let me say it is a spectacular record.  I'm sure everyone will be pleased with it when it's officially released.  Over all i give this show 4 out of 5 stars.  it would have been 5 if the show had been just a little bit longer.

Since you are looking for info, this review comes from CharlieDontSurf, over at the GNR Bar.

***

Alright. Charlie is back from his 14 hour drive to see his idols. I was supposed to go see them again tonight in Portland, Orgeon, but I can't guarantee they will be there. Here's the review of my night.

Get to the Moore Theatre at around 5:30. I see an already massive lineup. The Moore looks like the biggest piece of shit from the outside. Good ol' white trash is in the lineup, all in the predictable rock shirts. There are the "ho's" who are wearing the sluttiest stuff south of the border, who stay in line for only a couple of minutes before they are escorted in. I am sure Sorum had something to do with it.

I actually saw Sorum outside, he brushed shoulders with me as he was walking across the street with some guy. I was in line and was the only one who noticed him, I didn't want to start something by going up to him.

Get inside the venue and its great. Its an ancient cathedral like building. Absolutely awesome. Almost church like. With 2 balcony's, the linup was kind of useless as you are designated an area anyways on your ticket. I go to the first balcony and sit front row on the edge. It was so close. I couldn't believe this place. Massive chandelier from the ceiling. Little balconies on the side. I was stoked. Met 3 guys from Olympia. Cool dudes.

Living Things come on proclaiming that the white trash is here. They were... well almost good. They singer has Mick Jagger swagger, minus the charisma.

Anyways, after a long ass wait. The lights dim and the boys come on. "From Hollywood, Velvet... Revolver!". Awesome. They break into "Suckertrain Blues". Good opening song. Ah, fuck it. Who cares about the songs. More important stuff.

Two girls put a sign over the balcony that said "Wheres Izzy?". Duff had a massive smile on his face.

Slash seems larger than life out there. He looks like a steroid injected maniac.

Anyways, I want to talk about the trivial stuff... but then the first encore song, "Used to Love Her". They played the intro like 8 times maybe. Scott never showed up. The boys looked pretty confused. They kind of congrugated in the middle and talked about what they would do. They didn't seem worried, as they were smiling. Maybe disbelief. Scott does enventually come out.

Then before they do the next song Scott gives a huddle with the guys. I was thinking, AWESOME, a change in the setlist. COMA! Haha... no. They did "Slither", and then left the building. Whatever Scott said cut the night short.

It was awful, the house lights came on. People started booing. Then the "We want more!" chant. I am not sure what happened last night, but it can't be good. I was pretty disgusted. I mean I think the show didn't even clock in at an hour. Thats all people could talk about when I was leaving.

It was an amazing hour... but when you leave with a bitter taste, it sucks.

So, needless to say, I am not travelling to Portland to see the "show" tonight. I can't risk it. Its a long drive from home. I have friends to visit, more important things to do.

Beginning of the end?

That's not a big deal. Detroit 2002 show with GNR ended up early too, but then they played the regular set list in the next show...
At least, I hope it's not a big deal.  nervous

That sucks.  Did Scott look ill in the earlier part of the show? I hope he hasnt returned to his junkie habits again.  Undecided

Yeah, that was after Axl had already missed one concert... VR may yet give an explanation for the short set, and it's unlikely it will be "Scott had a hissy fit because he didn't get the right type of eyebrow bleach"... but we'll see...

Well, this makes me glad I decided not to pay 100 dollars for tickets and drive for 4 hours to make it to the show.

I had a friend at the show, supposedly there was a venue/curfew issue...

Who knows, I never thought it would get this far...

I guess VR should have gone on earlier then eh?
I also see from the review they had a long ass wait?
Why not bashing for this?
People constantly bitch when Axl goes on so late, but I guess its ok when VR does it right?

Something tells me the concert was not cut short because Scott got pissed at Slash completely fucking up a song and deciding to walk out. I am sure they will tell us what the problem was if there was one because that is the way they seem to do things. If they pretend it never happened, then they are fair game to be shit on.

VR is giving dave alot of ammo. Seriously, some of you can dish it out but not take it.

At the very least, it should cast some light on how some of you are merciless to axl, blaming him for everything that goes wrong without any evidence one way or another.

Curfew? how many times have gnr gone past curfew because they don't give a fuck about some venue's rules. This is supposed to be 'dangerous rock n roll' not some frasier crane attempt at being dangerous.

i do think scott probably had a stomach bug a la bobby hurley in the final four.

If not playing an encore at one show is all that goes wrong with this band on this tour, I'd say the "bashing" will be minimal...

If hit single, sold out tour, album release date = "alot of ammo", then so be it.

It's got to be tough to swallow for some....

Other than dave claiming Scott ripped of Axl's rant's and small crap like that, i have no beef against dave and his posts.  If anyone thinks that scott weiland is an angel who will deliver 100% of the time, got bad news for you.  Scott's missed tours due to drug problems, been late, and christ the only stp show i ever went to was ended a few songs early because scott got pissed with the crowd groping women as they crowd surfed.  He's not the anti-axl and he's definitely not a perfect angel but my only comparison is.....the man can rock, just the same as axl.  when they get their shit together and give it their all on stage, axl and scott both are very awesome frontman and put on one hell of a show.

I may not agree with everything Dave says, but there is some truth to what he is saying.  If this was Axl that cancelled the show, this board would be getting pounded with anti Axl posts.   However, I think the difference is this is just one show VR has cancelled.  A lot of bands have cancelled shows.  Now, if they develop a habit of showing up late, or even worse, not even showing, then they deserve as much criticism as Axl gets.    But, at least they cancelled the show with a little notice and have already rescheduled.  That is a little better than just not showing up to a venue that is already full...
