Contraband Review in Aussie Kerrang

I'm not gonna type it all out here, but it gets 4/5 like the US issue.
I will however write out a part out of the review which may give some hope to those who don't like the album after hearing it:

"Perhaps the biggest surprise is that, upon first listen, Contraband disappoints slightly - fear not though, that's just the sound of your expectations crumbling, of the hopes that this would be Appetite For Destruction II being crushed. But once you're over that, you're left with a very, very good hard rock album. An album that, like Audioslave's debut, may not hit the mark with every song - although it goes close - but suggests that with time, this could be a very special band indeed..."

I'll still make my final judgement when I get the album next week

Not sure if I'd agree with that....

So far Audioslave still has the better album in my opinion. Maybe that'll change in the future..... We'll see.

But I do prefer Chris to Scott. That won't change anytime soon.

In a perfect world Cornell could have been Slash and the boys lead singer, that would have been a match made in heaven. I'm with you on prefering chris to scott Jarmo. I like Wieland, but Cornell has crazy mad vocal range.

Hoooooly shit dude... Audioslave's album sucked!  I liked the single but the album was crud... I have heard all of Contraband many many times now and it's WAY better!
