I have not listened to them in ages.  I got bored with listening to bootlegs.  If I had studio versions, I'd listen to them more often.

I'm assuming this thread means "New GN'R" songs, and not "New" GN'R songs...  ok

Does it matter?  They would be the same ones.  The only songs the "New GnR" has played were all at the same time.

Huh?  So you consider a song that's been around for 3 years "New"?

one of the things that i love about gnr songs old and new is ya know when you are standing infront of your cds wondering what to throw on,and there are some albums that you have to force yourself to throw on eventho you know you will enjoy them when they are on...very common with cds havent listened to in a while.
well this never happens with gnr,its a pleasure to listen to the music, listen to the regulars daily and have kinda fallen away listening to the new stuff but thats only coz i have them on a live bootleg cd from rock in rio and its not best quality
dont get me wrong i love the blues, maddy, chinese democ etc...infact gonna go chuck em on the computer now while i type so to reanswer this question last time i listened to new songs is at present  peace

I listen to the "new" songs alot..
Not every day maybe, but there isn't 1 day when I don't listen to the old or the new songs...
I Must admit that I listen to Oh my god the most now, actually...

For a while ago I didn't listen much to that one, only Maddy, blues, cd and sometimes R&tb , but now I think OMG is fantastic.  Cheesy

Just curious if people are still listening to them and enjoying them
If so how often do you listen to them

I stopped listening to them a long time ago.. I use to listen to oh my god often in 99-2000 as I did the others later on when I finally got copies... They just never had that lasting affect on me like the old.. Even with old gnr there are certain illusions songs that even though I hear during the playing of the album I have no more interest in..

Ever since I got them, not a week has gone by without a few plays of Maddy, The Blues, IRS, (those are my favs.)  and OMG, CD, Riyadh a little less frequently...Silkworms-very little.

and yes, I feel like a lunatic listening to songs that most of the listening public have no idea even exist.  These songs (especially my favorites) smoke just about everything else that has been released in the past 10 years...although I'd easily put Green Day's new one Holiday, and U2's Sometimes you can't make it on your Own up there with them.

Now I'm ready to golf and drink this weekend!!!!!!!  Cheers fellow Gunners!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have worked their way into my GNR listening jst as the UYI and AFD songs do. I would happily pick Madagascar right after Shotgun Blues for example

The only things I don't enjoy in the new songs are...the guitar solos (especially Buckethead). I definitely miss Slash bluesy touch. When I listen to rihad guitar solo (shredd), chinese democracy guitar solo (industrial/shredd) or IRS one (shred), it just sounds so wrong for a GN'R record. I think it's the wrong direction, Axl is making a mistake by accepting such weird guitar material. The only guitar solo I really like is the Fortus outro on "the blues" (at the end). It's more bluesy, melodious, it sounds Classic-Rock, that's the sound of GN'R.
Madagascar has cool guitar job too.
