Steven & Adler and Use your Illusion

I just saw the pics of the VH-1 interview at Adlers house and noticed he had platinum records of all Guns albums he played on and also saw platinum awards for the Use your Illusion 2 album.
Well,we all know he just played on 1 track on that album,do you get platinum awards for that too???

I believe that one track to be one of the greatest.

I'd say it more symbolic than anything else.  Most of those songs were written while he was in the band, so I guess those awards reflect his past etc.  The guys and record company probably just gave them to him to be nice etc.

Yes, any album to which you contribute as a band member, you receive platinum awards.  He would not get one for UYI I since he did not contribute musically to that album, but since he played on "Civil War", he gets an award for UYI II.

I think the GNR albums go gold every year, and Appetite goes platinum.

For world wide sales that certainly looks about right!

AFD has gone platinum something like 40 times world wide and 20 times each for both UYI albums
