Cocaine is a stimulant.  It gives confidence, energy and a general good feeling.  It is a good tool for certain people.  People don't use drugs just to get "high" or " fucked up".  A lot of people use drugs as something to help them carry on with every day life.

I guess what really happened was that slash OD'd and went into a coma.

In fact it means that his heart stopped beating. I read an interview  around ?94-?95 where Slash said that he had an overdose, was taken to a hospital where his heart stopped for about 5 minutes or so. So I guess you can say that he really was dead for a while.

You mean the scientificly proven facts from studies and years of research?

Yes some drugs can be used as a medication and yes some drugs can be prescribed to assist in correcting.. well helping to control the effects of chemical inbalances in the brain that cause depression.. but cocaine to make yourself feel good?

Yes, he's had many bad experiences - in the past. How do you know that he isn't telling the truth? And besides, are you saying that it's easy to quit that shit? Because it isn't. It's not going to be easy for him just as it isn't for anyone else.

But perhaps he is telling the truth, maybe he isn't. Maybe he realizes that quitting is important for moving on with the new band. But people like you who don't believe he can quit, aren't any help.

Whether or not he's telling the truth, I'll believe him until he's proven otherwise.

But, on the otherhand, I shouldn't have said that he has in fact quit a year ago, because I don't know the truth any more than you or the next person.

As for bashing Axl, well it's true, he is insane and an asshole. But -

OH, I forgot, he's allowed to be, because he is Axl Rose, and that makes him perfect.

Scotts first arest was over a year ago.
His second arrest was for dui, but there are alot of things that can cause possitive tests.

I dont know the first thing about cocaine, but I sincerely hope that Axl doesnt need to rely on substance abuse in order to get through a tour.  If he is that fucked up, he should just stay at home.  

I dont want him od'ing and dying in his bathtub.  If he was gonna do that, he should have done it at age 28 when you still look good.
