im curious about the gunners' past drug abuse...

they're certainly a notorious bunch when it comes to this topic, but im not sure if i've seen many descriptions of the actual proportion of their habits..

i read somewhere, for instance, that Duff used to drink like 8 gallons of vodka a day...  i dont really know about the validity of that..but im wondering if anybody knows some of the hard numbers/figures that relate to this issue.

we're probly all aware of Duff's pancreas exploding, or that time when Slash n Izzy (or was it steven, or duff??) saved Nikki Sixx when he OD'd.  but are there any other crazy stories?

Well all members of GNR have admitted to doing drugs....we all know slash was rumored to drink 2 fifth's of jack a day at least back in the 80's and 90's, Axl apparently did drugs at his own pace and never considered himself an addict.  I'm pretty sure most in the band did heroin and coke and steven adler sucked weiners for drug money.  that's about the extent......i think to this day Duff drinks non-alcoholic beer, slash has cut down on jack extensively,  i don't think matt has commented on it....and Axl seems to be clean of drugs.

A gallon would be like the big thing of milk you buy.....i think that's what you were asking.....not good on the conversion stuff myself.  Anyhow you freaked me out by imaging michael jackson on coke.  that would be interesting to say the least.

a guy named Jimmy Page that works for a huge company called www.syncrolite.com , who also claimed he knew axl and the gunners, said that the reason the last tour got cancelled was because axl couldn't handle the preassure of being on the road... he said that as soon as axl got back on the road he got so heavily into the coke thing that he didn't even know when to hit the stage. he said that the philly gig never happened because axl was locked in his hotelroom all fucked up on coke... this was something that happend all through his rockn' career... he said alot of shit about other gunners aswell, but for obvious reasons i won't get into it all... i didn't know if i should believe this guy or not so i asked if i could quote him on it at a message board and he said yes so i guess the fucker atleast have some balls... cosidering his position the rock n' roll world.... through the years...

Yeah, after bashing Steven,Slash, Duff and Izzy sooooo much because of a drug adiction, saying: Oh, I was too fucked up with coke so I couldn?t play in the concert would be toooo humiliating....

Though Axl had issues with being "on the road" during the Illusions tour, there was no hint that he used "coke" to alleviate his problems. Last i read, he was using therapy and new age medicine. I highly doubt he would just pick up a coke habit (a drug, if i am not mistaken, he was never THAT keen on to begin with) in his 40's...
correct me if i'm wrong, but i was under the impression that the tour was cancelled because they hadn't sold out (or even close to) the majority of their post NY gigs... does anyone know for sure if this is true or not?

Chicago 92 Axl said "for me now, it aint about doing cocaine or how much vodka I can drink or how I can drink somebody else under the table.. that shit dont work for me no more" or something very similar! I would guess that Axl has done it.

Pasadena 12/30/87 Axl tells the audience during his introduction to KOHD how he overdosed and tells the audience what he took.. cant remember now.. a couple of things and a bottle of jim bean..

No doubt Axl tried it all.. but he seemingly, and other members inc. Slash have said that aside from cigs, Axl has always managed not to become addicted to anything.
