So i just got the riot DVD and a few thoughts that you guys may want to comment on.
I felt that Axl was particularly aggressive before any of the shit went down. The opening rendition of "perfect crime" and just his overall presence, how he was singing and moving on the stage seemed a bit more angry than the other performances i have seen...
Also, was this still around the time when Slash was fucked up a lot? Because he seemed particularly out of it (not like it affected his playing, he was rocking) but appear to be pretty high.

Too bad for the riot because the show up until that point was great.  yes

Oh yeah, i know. I've read all those articles. Pointing out that Axl was acting aggressive was not to say that his aggressiveness was the cause of the riot. i know it was the bullshit security, but i think that Axl seemed on edge that night and that could definitely have contributed to his actions.

he was being annoyed
they were being harrassed
uh. yeah i'd say he got annoyed and was put on edge
as evidenced by his final actions

i'm glad earl is looking out for him now
i wish earl (could have) gotten his hands on those fuckers

I personally think it was a great show untill that point.

I think they were all "much to high" that night, you could tell Axl was well Coked up and yeh Slash was well wrecked.

As soon as they hit the stage with the immense Perfect Crime - which as i buy more  shows is becoming my fav song from that whole tour. Every performance of that song he gives his all.

But i thought he was in a great mood - aggressive, but he was having a laugh.  I think it was untill the point where Slash wanted to change his boots and Axl got talking about his past - as i have mentioned in a previous topic.   I think that was the turning point.
