Right next door to Hell / YCBM.  Both have good loud rock vibes to them. I know AFD is a great record its just a debate of what song is like that era. I think most agree that AFD doesnt need anything added to it.

I think replacing "Anything Goes" and "You're Crazy" with "You Could Be Mine" and "Back Off Bitch" would be the only possible way of improving Appetite.

There is NO way to improve Appetite.  Leave it alone. It is among the best albums ever created.

Axl will not change the album, fear nothing.
Anyways, I guess YCBM and Don't Damn Me would fit right. But, if the album could be 2cds, I would put Locomotive, Coma, Back Off Bitch and Shotgun Blues too.  Cool

I'd have to say Dead horse. To me it has that razor sharp edge that would of fit perfectly on AFD. ok

I don't know if I necessarily agree with that. Everyone hated the Greatest Hits album in principle, but you do have to admit that the Appetite songs sounded a lot better. I have no problem with remastering which would have been done had the technology been available back when Appetite was first recorded.

Right Next Door to Hell.

I think it was placed as the first song UYI1 as a bridge from Appetite to the Illusions. It just makes it feel like it could be track 13 off of Appetite.

AIN?T GOING DOW, OF COURSE, EVEN THOUGH IT?S NOT ON UYI ALBUMS (it was re-recorded to be on them, but it was never released).

and Prety Tied Up, of course

forget about the studio overproduced and "clean" version of the song. Just listen to the two first live performances of it on Rock in Rio 2 (january 20 and 23, 1991) and you will see how GOOD and RAW that song can be. Very Appetite like. Oh, the live version of Bad Apples on RIR 2 is just as GREAT and just as Appetite like.

Hope one day the raw versions of UYI songs get to be released (or leaked) so we can get a taste of the real thing...

I agree the guitars in UYI sound so much better without all the production/whatever noise on top of it. Bad Apples could have been on AFD. The rest i dont know. Would have to listen to them without all the studio effects.

I agree that Bad Apples could possibly be on AFD, but I might also include Locomotive and YCBM.

Regarding other songs not on UYI, I would think that Reckless Life could fit in as well.

All right, another 17 month old thread makes a return!   hihi   ok

I added "Pretty Tied Up" to the list that I posted way back on December 9, 2002, but I think that song would only fit AFD without the keyboards.  The piano sounded really incongruous even on the UYI release of "Pretty Tied Up".

i like how Axl says he re-recorded AFD with the exception of YCBM and Patience. Their's not one melow song on it , but Patience would be cool to through into the mix ok

He said he re-recorded AFD and replaced two songs with "You Could Be Mine" and "Patience".

Obviously, those two he omitted from AFD were "You're Crazy" and "Anything Goes".

Id love to hear the new band play You're Crazy live.. it used to ROCK on the old bootlegs from AFD era Smiley
