Hall of Fame

As of 2010/2011 Guns n' Roses are elligible to get inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. Now, all things considered, do you think they will get in and when/if they do, would the original members put aside their differences for doing a few of the old tunes?

My feeling is that anything could happen in regards to both questions. Some very great acts that are more than elligible to get in have yet to be inducted like The New York Dolls, Van Halen, Jim Croce, ELO, Black Sabbath, The Sex Pistols, and Yes.

And in regards to the playing old numbers, many bands who were thought of to never play together under any circumstances ever again have gotten together for just two or three songs. Just look at The Police. By '86 they were ready to strangle each other, literally (Sting was quite an ass back then) and last year the three of them were able to pull it together for three songs. Now I know the dynamics are a bit different for Guns n' Roses and while it would seem VERY unlikely, anything could happen.

They wanted to induct Black Sabbath a couple times, but the entire band refused to be inducted.

And no, I do not think Axl could put aside his differences with Izzy, Steven, Duff, and Slash.  The latter four have already put aside their differences, so they might appear at such a function, but not with Axl.

Look at when CCR got inducted. John Fogerty performed with his new band as the two original members watched from the audience (the two members who are also in Cleerdence Clearwater Revisted).  I think it would be the original four with a new singer, or Axl and his new guns. It may take them a year or two after 2012 to get in.

i bet if Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven got back together and started jamming, then it might piss off Axl enough to get back together and show up at the induction-and hopefully that happens in the future!
